Love all the trim, steel dash its timeless and classy looking. Since I was a 70s kid I wanted one. Late 80s almost bought a clone of the American Grafitti 55 but it needed too much and the drivetrain was painted up junk.
@@samspace81 I currently have a couple of builds going.. 2-Door 1972 Datsun 510.. Ported polished, balanced, head-work SR-20. Forged internals. (Almost finished) 1989 BMW E-30 2-Door. Switching from Auto to Manual.. Then it will get the worx as well..
@@samspace81 I absolutely LOVE 💘 Z-Cars!! I don't like the stock engines.. I'm not a fan of the RB engine either. If I were to do a 240 or 280 Z-Car I'd go Frankenstein and put a 2-JZ. I know it's sacrilege, but I love the 2-JZ. One day I want to put 2J-Z in a 1972 Triumph.
Great vid man! Love the 55-7s that style will never get old. WHat id give to see cars like this built again .If it werent for EPA the big 3 could Like these stock, or chicken legged up in front gasser style dont matter
My Dad gave me a '49 Buick for my 13th birthday. I said, that's great Pa, but it's not a '55 Chevy. I got my '55 Handyman 4 years later which I still have at 67 yrs old. Thanks for showcasing "the great one"
So many classics come in Tri's. 55-57 Chevy Belairs, 55-57 Thunderbirds, 64-66 Thunderbirds, 64-66 Chrysler Imperials, 68-70 Chevelles, 68-70 Roadrunners, 68-70 Chargers, 68-70 Dodge Super bees and R/Ts, 67-69 Camaros.
Cars were art back then. Havent gotten excited about a new cars appearance since maybe the early 80s. I cannot tell a Hyundai from a MB from a kia anymore. Cars are like eggs, all look and seem the same
@@gordocarbo My current car is a 17 SS Camaro manual trans. Love it. My first 2 cars were a 65 Barracuda and then a 69'Roadrunner in the mid 70s in HS, yet In the early and mid 60s as a kid in grade school I was GM and Ford kid.
@@matrox Right on! Started driving mid 80ss. Always loved Mopar just couldnt afford to build one. Considered selling my 67 El for a late model SS just hesitant worrying it wouldnt have the character?
Great-looking show just wondering if anyone knows what's the difference between some of the Chrome designs on the 55 some have them some don't what's the reasoning behind that thanks
