    You know Roxanne, I never want to miss your technique videos. Even if I don’t find the topic especially useful to me , you are so thorough and clear in your instructions I always learn something useful. An “aha” moment, if you will. Thank you!

    What a great tip. Thank you Roxanne! I’m doing a striped garter stitch blanket (wide stripes) so I have LOTS of ends. I leave the new color tail hanging and weave in the previous color “old school” into it’s stripe, as the new color tail is weaved into it’s stripe. My wrong side ONLY has the color change strip of bumps. So neat and tidy. Thank you!

    I usually join a new ball using your other video "Knitting in yarn tails", but since I'm doing a garter stitch blanket, I decided to finally try this method. Although a helpful video, I just did this on my blanket and the yarn is so noticeably thick in one place that it looks horrible, because when you weave you are essentially using 3 strands of yarn. Now I have to go back and take it out :(

    I usually just lay the tails over the working yarn before knitting each stitch, effectively twisting them. I can't help wondering if the wrapping you're doing puts the tails in the same position. I'll have to experiment.
    Edit: I just tried both methods, and they are not the same at all. Your wrap method holds the woven-in yarn much more securely.

    I use this technique all the time, but am unsure how to finish it off. Cutting it here doesn’t feel real secure so I weave in the ends as normal just not as much. Any thoughts? Thanks so much for all your great tips.

    Hi Rox. I'm curious about the brand of needles you are using in this video.

    • @RoxanneRichardson
      @RoxanneRichardson  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they're colored needles with a long, pointy taper, then they are Signature Needle Arts needles.

      Thanks! I thought they might be but never having owned a pair I couldn't be sure. They are real beauties! Do you knit with them regularly or are they reserved for specific projects?

      I love them, so I use them as often as possible! :-) They are beautiful to look at (which is a bonus), but they are fantastic to knit with, so I use them as often as possible. They are always my first choice.

    Great video instruction, as usual.
    Is your sound always just through on channel?

      One channel, not on

    • @RoxanneRichardson

      No, there was a screw up with my microphone, and I couldn't fix the problem in my editing software. The first sentence of the video description mentions that the audio is only through the left channel.

      For some reason, my microphone thought I was recording stereo, instead of mono. There is audio in the left channel.
