    The Micro3 is a camera slider by Zeapon that can extend and double its length with a max. payload of 12kg. It can either be used manually or motorized for real-time, stop motion and timelapse shoots. Especially impressive is the slow movement of the slider that is very smooth and fluid without any hiccups or changes in speed. New to the system is the adjustable friction. Although the friction knob is a useful feature, the resistance is still rather strong even when set to the minimum.

    Having the friction control is something I never even thought a slider could have but it makes sense now.

    This thing looks amazing! I've been using a manual slider for my macro shoots and it's a real pain in the rear! Time to save a few bucks!

    Smart move to include the support arms.

    Does it keep the horizon level better than the previous version 2? Are the supporting arms better? because they were flimsy as hell on the micro 2 version.

    Bold move to keep physical controls on the unit.

    Thanks for the complete review and examples. May I ask which tripod and head are you using? Thank you again

    Hey! Great review but which tripod is that? I’ll been looking for one that can handle the slider weight. Thank you

    is the entire length of the slide stable or are there parts where it has a slight bump due to weight or max extension as it hits the little support wheels?

    You mentioned some shakes when filming in telephoto range but they are very minor judging by the video footage.

    Sadly I had a bad experience with the new version. My was defective and had a bump when I passed through the middle section. Retuned it to China for a refund, but lost $150 in improt taxes that I will never see. QC is bad. They should definetely check a $700 slider before they ship it to the other end of the world.

    This review has a recording of the motor noise at 15:20: th-cam.com/video/_gKwHWN3aW0/w-d-xo.html

    The biggest problem I have with this slider is that if you set more then 2 waypoints, for example 3, the slider will stop after reaching every waypoint for a brief moment and then continues to move on to the next. This should be fixable in software but this problem is persisting for quite some time and it is very frustrating. If anyone knows a solution please comment on this.

      nope there is no solution. The new version also suffers from this problem.😪

    Stating that the motor noise is the biggest negative of the slider but not giving a single sound example unfortunately makes this otherwise good review almost useless because nobody can validate this point and decide for himself if it is too noisy.

    • @screenstory
      @screenstory ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly my concern: can I use this in an interview setup, or is the motor noise a dealbreaker? This video doesn't answer that question. I'm going to assume it is noisy!
