What was once pure fan service, turned into one of my favourite characters in the game. Fantastic move set, the ability to give the middle finger to Redeads, and overall I really began to like her as a character herself having a surprising good story around her. The only downside I see is that I never enjoy the hat and mask she wears but then I see she can remove those as well! She may not be the most powerful dark character, but she's the one I use the most
One thing you forgot to bring up with Cia‘s darkness buff technique. It doesn’t just protect her from redead stuns, it gives her super armor against all enemies. She can perform any action without risk of being interrupted, but she still takes the same damage she would have normally. So a reckless player caught up in the moment could accidentally get killed if they aren’t paying attention to the heart count.
Cia is definitely my favorite character to play as in this game. Something about her stomp attack is super satisfying to me, and there are a couple of other big reasons that need not be mentioned
Cia became an unexpected favorite of mine. I practically mained her in this game! What I initially thought of as plain fanservice became my favorite warriors character!
While I didn't end up making her my main, I had a similar experience with coming to terms with her. When I first saw her I thought she was just a tanned fanservice lady, but in playing her and getting more of her story she became one of the standouts on the whole cast, with an amazing toolset to boot!
@@warriorsdojo6044 To me Cia is 1 of the top best characters to take out giant bosses. All u need to do is keep spamming the 4 dark links in front of her and u can take out a giant boss in no time
I had struggled at playing most of the darkness characters in the roster, however after watching all of these back when they were on the other channel, I have come to know how to use and love most of the cast. And I thank you deeply for making it possible for me to love this game even more so.
While she isn't my absolute favorite, this just happens to be the guide video in the playlist I'm on when I decided I have to comment on how fantastic all your guide videos are. For this game and all the others (though I've only used this playlist and all the Age of Calamity guides), considering the lack of official guide content in these games to know how things interplay these videos have been a real godsend. Anyone helping with making these videos deserves massive kudos, keep up the awesome work guys!
Whenever a mission gives me the option to use any character I want, Cia will always be my first choice. (Unless it's one of those quests where enemy attacks are OHKOs. In which case, I use Shiek.) Do I need to rack up KOs or clean out a keep? Stomp on the entire field with C2. Do I need to take down giant bosses? A couple of her C4s will shred their weakpoint gauges in no time. She basically has a tool for every situation I could think of (aside from those damn OHKO missions). One of my favorite applications of the proximity mines (C5) is to lay a mine under an officer that's guarding. It's fun being able to stun them out of a guard, and I'm granted a bit of breathing room, as well. Her special attack is also great for when I need to deal an extra bit of damage, especially if a giant boss still has a bit of HP left after taking damage from a Weak Point Smash. And the best part of all is that when she dodge-cancels out of a combo, it feels as smooth as butter. :ok_hand: :ok_hand: With this level of mobility, combined with her C2, I can cover a lot of ground within a keep within a short amount of time. Utility and mobility. If I need to get a job done right, I call in Cia.
Her traps do their job well, but I personally prefer her C3 as it takes less time to execute, and I get to use a forced Special Attack before the Weakness gauge drops to 0 and deal extra damage before the Weak Point smash cutscene while the Dark Links are still whaling on the boss.
2:43 the dark Links are not only good at boss weakpoints they're also really good at overwhelming stronger enemies if use them in front as they're approaching you then run behind them and attack
Cia is sooo OP. Her C2 and C3 alone make her a top tier warrior in the area clearing and target focus department. Her C5 does indeed allow for easy boss destruction, but only against specific bosses. If you’re fighting a boss like Manhandla, it’s better to use her C4 and summon 2 or 3 Dark Links before dodging out and also hitting Manhandla. As with most characters, Manhandla is the hardest boss to take out. With very little thought, Cia can tear through the opponents, and that is just amazing to me. From a skill level, she is among the easiest warriors to excel with, which makes her an invaluable asset on the battlefield.
Her C4 is my favorite boss wpg attack, other than maybe The Imprisoned this attack will always take out a bosses wpg 100%. Just have the first Dark Link out swinging right as the gauge appears. She’s really good at everything, C2 is her best mob clearer while her C3 is good for Captains, even multiple Captains if you keep them all lined up. Sure there’s more “powerful” options but she can always SAFELY get any job done as good as anyone as far as getting A ranks go.
C2 destroys crowds. C3 great for dueling. C6 + special 100% obliterates a boss weak point smash meter (wait for as soon as Dark Links pop out of the gates before you hit the special attack or else they'll disappear) The C1 is also great for dueling, you'd get that Darkness-X elemental effect in just a few hits (like 5) instead of the usual many (like 15) it takes to proc that effect. Darkness-X elemental effect is twice as much as that light-x elemental effect (which hurts just as hard as most damage bonuses like Defenseless, No Healing, Vs XXXX, Str Attack X, Stage Recommended Element damage bonus etc etc)
I shall ignore the Cia fanservice and just get straight to the point: Cia is damn good. Her C1 is simply ridiculous, allowing her to simply ignore Redead stuns, and her other combos are just great.
@@likenoother6561 This is a year later, but just felt like saying I find Skull Kids constant laugh way more annoying than Cia's. It's iconic but also way more high pitched and grating on the ears. You also have to hear that weird sound he makes constantly as you move around.
got to be honest with myself as far as female antagonist go in rpgs franchises, she is hot and a cool villain. But she'll not compare to the high lvl top tiers Ultimecia (FF8) and Ultima the High Seraph (FFT)
Girl, I love ya, but like… Don’t you get cold in that? I mean using it in the hotter stages I get, but your coverage pretty much amounts to your waist and half your tids. In the words of Fi, there is a 99% probability you need a fucken’ jacket.
I’m kind most of the designs in this game except for the OCs. Cia and Lana don’t fit in with the Zelda characters at all. Even Linkle is a little too cutesy to be a believable Zelda character, imo.
Can we all appreciate that this game is literally the byproduct of an obsessed fanfic writer with the power to rewrite history?
I bet Cia started out right-handed but forced herself to be better with her left hand to be more like Link.
And ironically, he’s right-handed now.

Do those reasons rhyme with tiddies?
Do they rhyme with kitties and Lexi?

I believe that you can also turn Cia like in C3 to spread out the Dark Links.
I just dodge outside the Blocking direction, works with every Char
I like shitty memes yeah but you can’t stack damage and prevent them from reacting like cia

She is bae in every way.
I loved the gangum style bit at the end there lmao
This is a Nintendo game that’s not bayonetta ladies and gentlemen
Ha, she’s jealous of Zelda, but is higher in tier than every Zelda move set save dead Zelda. Ha.
Also you can pivot C4.
I find her final combo to be much Better at destroying boss weak points
I hate that her mines are so good at hitting Boss Weak Gauges EXCEPT Manhandla, it’s hit box is so small its not effective enough

In Legends, if you press sheild when Re Dead Stunned, you won't take any damage.
Cia's last combo attack DESTROYS boss weak points when her proximity mine attack won't do it. That's the only reason I ever use it otherwise.
Cia is great at taking out giant bosses if u just keep spamming 4 dark links in front of her
It intrigues me that Jessica Nigri never cosplayed Cia. You know, she's perfect for Nigri's style.
Hasty attacks make her even better.
So true, what makes a character good is how fast they attack
Dark pit? I thought this was a legend of zelda game
also you can name the dark links and point where you want them
When people say C1 and C2 etc abilities idk what they mean. Which buttons are those combos? I guess i could google it ey?
My only problem with her is her laugh, which you will hear a lot if you use her.
YES I HATE IT
