It’s actually not. A lot of the instructions say and “then you can just take this off” he never explains HOW to actually get most of the parts off when it comes to the actual grille part. There are so many clips and tabs he’s not even mentioning.
I believe most of the clips that you are referring to, which were unfastened off camera, can be removed with a couple flathead screwdrivers. If you're stuck anywhere on the installation, feel free to email or text over a picture of the clip(s) that are giving you trouble and I'll try to help.

I can assure you that the mesh piece that we currently sell our website attaches the same way as the upper piece shown in the video we are commenting on. Years ago, we made a lower piece which did go in front of the stock grille, so there may be some outdated information out there or possibly a different screen available but the lower mesh piece we sell is the same behind-the-grille install process as the upper. There are two main differences between the upper and lower installs. One is with regard to the shutter system which is behind the grille. The shutters need to be either deactivated or removed. The other is that there will likely be some extra refinishing of the inner edge of the grille after the stock design is removed.
Hey all, can someone help me out with this issue? My engine light is on saying Active Grille Shutter. I can't clear it or anything it just turns right back on. Is there a way I can fix this issue without having to buy the whole new Grill? All I see is 300$ ones. I'm trying to find a way to keep my engine light off without getting all new part and reuse mine.
That a tough one. It would probably be somewhere around $200 for one as shown in the video (raw edge and no paint). To clean up the edge and paint it so that it looks a bit better, probably closer to $400
80 bucks for powder coated stamped metal sheet. Doesn't come with anything other than the metal. No bracketry or anything, no chance to revert to stock. fml
What brackets would you suggest we include? It's a fairly straight forward installation of the mesh on the back of the stock grill, I'm not sure what more should be included that doesn't overcomplicate the install. As for reverting it back to stock, that can be easily done with a new set of oem grilles.

You make it look so easy LOL I've never seen so many tabs to pop out of a front bumper grill setup then on these darn Darts LOL
did this today, 6/10 on the hard scale, 10/10 on the looks scale.

Can you speed up the process by leaving the grille in the sun to dry or using a heat fun ?
Yes, heat and air circulation speed up the curing of the glue.

It's a pain in the ass to take the tabs off and the crosshair removal isn't very thorough

Yes, we do have a matching lower piece on our website. The install is the same as the upper as seen in this video.
Is there a video for the bottom grill?
I don't have a video specifically for the lower but it's the same process at this upper grille install.

I do not. It's essentially the same process. Please note though, that shutters behind the grille will need to be removed for the lower mesh install.

I'll see what I can do. We're just now finishing up the lower bumper grill opening.

Brandon, is this an issue with a modified grille, or your stock one?
@@customcargrills If you disconnect the active grill shutter it will give a check engine light.
can y'all do one for a '15 Lancer GTS?
I think that would be possible. I'd either need the car or the bumper here in person though in order to work on it.
