- We finally made it out to Warner Bros Movie World to ride DC Rivals!! This was a huge bucket list roller coaster for us and we can't believe we made it out to Australia to experience it!

@@JulianDale94 as someone how has europa park as a home park, they like to troll all of us, hyper coasters in china turkey and australia, extreme spinners in US and belgium and we're getting a big dipper model
@@helder408 That's exactly the thing, Europa Park has this mantra of family-friendliness. In documentaries I've seen that they have declined layouts from Mack Rides in the past, and demand toned-down versions of the coasters. That's why I was completely blown away when I rode DC Rivals, because knowing the coasters in Europa Park, this was completely different. Like COMPLETELY different. So much more dynamic, so much more fun, it's incredible. I learned what Mack Rides' designers can do, if they can build what is inside their heads. And it's awesome.
And sad, that Europa Park doesn't recognize the talents of their own family's manufacturing company. Because these Mack coasters, they are not about being scary, being the highest, or with the most force or speed possible. They are just about great layouts and chaining elements in a way that it feels totally flexible and holds up for more than 3-5 rides on that coaster.
They have exactly one coaster that surprises, and that is Wodan. Perhaps it was a mistake (a happy one for us), since it's from another company. But I really have to say, Mack Rides has grown so much and they can do it. And in my opinion, Europa Park should just trust them, it might become one of the best parks in Europe again (right now, I find that so many parks have taken the lead by a lot, by innovating - even the local Swabian park Dripsdrill recognizes that they have to innovate, for example).
@@JulianDale94....Well, I think that is slowly changing. Look at Time Traveler and Copperhead Strike. It's just a matter of time before another US park joins the Party. I say, with CGA Closing. SFDK is making a HUGE Mistake if the don't go big and grab that audience. I live in Central Ca and without CGA, I'd rather travel south to Knott's, Disneyland Resort, or Universal Studios. I'm sadly, not a fan of SFMM due a couple of bad experience at that park.

DC speeds up by a good 10 seconds after an hour or two! You really feel the difference.

Yeah, I have to try really hard to not be resentful that he literally has my dream life lol. Like, I'll be lucky to ride even one of my top 10 coasters before I die because travelling is so insanely expensive and wages are stagnant. Unless I somehow become a millionaire, it's just straight up not happening.

Row 10 is definitely the go to row when I ride DC and backwards especially going up that lift hill gives you a feeling of falling out of the seat 😃😃😃

Yes, you read that right, and no, Thunderhawk doesn't count, as it was a transplant from Geauga Lake. The last actual new coaster at Michigan's Adventure was Shivering Timbers, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022.

As an Australian I've been waiting for you guys to ride this one for ages. I hope you tried the backwards seats though cause even though it's an upcharge experience it's definitely worth trying once. Totally different from riding forwards.

Yeah I love how you guys highlight the reason why I think Fly in Phantasialand is the best roller coaster in the world right now. You can't find any on rides. Everything about that ride is word of mouth and surprises. Anyways, enough about praising that one.

It’s my favourite coaster at MovieWorld but for me it’s a front row ride.
Love DC rivals. Pity during your visit the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster was closed for major refurbishment as it is such a fun wild mouse.

Would love to see one at a CF park but I'm not sure where they would put one. Unless the Knott's giga falls through (which maybe it has), a Mack hyper, imo, isn't a great fit for any CF park other than CGA (obviously not happening) and MA (very unlikely).
@@DoomPlague Well the thing is a Mack hyper is very different from a B&M hyper. That much should be very clear based on this POV. The Mack's have ejector, much more custom layout and even inversions. I could see a Mack hyper at Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings island, Knotts and CWL
@@ch6inre6ction11 Certainly but its still similar enough to existing hypers that I feel there are better fits for those parks. KI is my home park and I would much rather see an extreme spinner or a multi-launch, a hangtime focused ride, etc.

A wise man once said that DC Rivals can only be given an 8.0/10 , because the better ride Kondaa only got 8.5/10

@First Drop Studios I agree DC Rivals has a better layout but in my opinion the spinning in RTH is what makes it for me. I guess it’s about personal preference tho and I can see why you’d prefer it

Well, this is a long ride
Really like this coaster.
However, the middle portion of the ride I think is super lackluster. Prevents it from being truly top tier, but the first and last few elements are fantastic!
