For those who don’t know the ‘3 merry boys’ is the ingredients mixed with Salt Peter (sulfur and charcoal are added) to make gunpowder, and ‘out of the west’ is because majority of Royalists were from the west in the war (majority were). This guy knows how to write a poem.

Why be a Roundhead though? We saw that the execution of the King resulted in a Cromwellian dictatorship and later on a restoration of the house of Stuart because parliament betrayed the Britons by exploiting them. Remember, the parliament was made up by aristocrats who wanted the King gone to have free rein in regards to the people of England. The King provided a check to parliaments power but now that these Hanoverian puppets sit on the throne the parliament can do whatever they want and well we can see what this has done to the once great isles of Albion! Sorry if I made any mistakes, English isn’t my first language.
The round heads sucked all they did was plunge England into a decade of warfare with thousands of deaths and nothing much to show for it, plus they weren’t exactly known for their religious tolerance. Though they did have some good point all they really were was just some slightly progressive rich nut jobs.
