- Episode 6 of Oktagon Challenge: England vs Ireland as four prospects from each nation go head-to-head, continuing the age-old rivalry between the nations as the brutality of MMA meets reality tv.
Brad Pickett and Akonne Wanliss coach Team England with Shem Rock and Paddy Holohan leading Team Ireland as eight fighters battle for two spots in a blockbuster Manchester final in November.
Living together whilst also fighting each other, the teams must also face challenges designed to take the fighters outside their comfort zones, enabling fans can see the true personalities and characters behind the steely competitors.
Representing team England are George Staines, Jake McHugh, Hascen Gelezi and Beau Gavin - all looking for their big career break.
Ireland's prospects are Matthew Elliott, Denis Frimpong, Aaron McDonald and Armand Herczeg - looking to defeat their English counterparts and claim an Oktagon contract worth £25,000.
In this week's episode, Denis Frimpong and Beau Gavin face-off in the first semi-final fight & the stakes could not be bigger, with the winner set to claim a place on the Oktagon 48 card in Manchester. Frimpong's mind games aren't affecting Gavin's preparation, but who will make their mark when it matters most?

I saw no war, i saw a good first round and then a bloke refuse to throwing anything and be a punch bag for 10 minutes. No idea why they have attempted to 'build tension' by not releasing the result this week when Dennis clearly won that fight. I wanted to see dennis get his fucking ten head bounced off the canvas.

This was a great episode. And people complaining about not showing the result even tho its obvious or about challenged and quiz etc. You need to realize this is not a show for hardcore mma fans. This is a show to bring casual people to mma. Thats why all the bs around like challenges and stories etc. Imagine some random person cooking a dinner and having a tv on and watching this when knoes absolutely nothing about mma. They dont know who won 100% because they dont know how to point fights. For them its exciting to see the result. And Oktagon knows what they are doing donr worry. They used this strategy in Slovakia,Czech republic and Germany already and it worked. They managed to make MMA popular and bring families to their shows. And no MMA was not popular in those countries thanks to Mcgregor and his fame. In Germany they never sold out 9k arena. Oktagon came and did with first show. O2 arena in czech republic with 20k people was sold out only with top world stars concerts ,novody believed MMA can do it. Oktagon did it.So before you write that hate comment think about what i said.
Beau needed that killer instinct in the necessary moments, Dennis has holes in his game where the other lads could capitalise

Bo gave away any chance he might have had, first round after he took Dennis down, Dennis looked pretty gassed after they went back up. Also the last round when he swept Dennis leg, Dennis hit his head of the canvas it looked like and Bo did not capitalize at all. Good work by Dennis keeping him at range with Jabs and front kicks and landing the knees when Bo tried to find a way in. Bo was too hesitant and wanted to trade but did not throw much after round 1 on the feet.
He gassed after round 1 and I found my flow that’s what happened. He got frozen

You can’t underestimate how good the coaching was during that fight as although Shem Rock may have come across annoying, his coaching throughout and the impact of what he was saying not just for Dennis’s motivation but also how demotivating that was to Beau Gavin and getting in his head can’t be underestimated and that was a big part in the turning of that fight and in Dennis being victorious #TeamWork #Coaching #LittleAdvantageMakeABigDifference

Beau lost that because he didn’t listen to his corner. He had his best bits taking Dennis down to the ground and his corner see that. He was just looking to brawl but that weren’t going to happen with the reach of Dennis

Fair play to Dennis. That was a great performance. Kept him at range and picked him apart and stuck to his game plan beautifully. He’s a problem for anyone in Oktagon if he fights like that

with the reach that dennis has, bo should have taken him down as often as possible. in a stand up battle dennis was always going to win, especially as bo did very little to pressure him backwards. a missed opportunity in my eyes.
