    We bought the dri buddi 2days ago and so far I'm very happy with it. You are right on saying its ideal because it don't create too much room in your house. I've used it to dry our towel. Yes it takes awhile. It took me about 1 and a half to two hours but at least it does it's job. Winter is coming and finally I can do my laundry anytime!

    my concern also, humid air will cause dampness, the moisture needs to go somewhere. It's a pity they didn't integrate a dehumidifier into the unit.

    I bought one, based on your video! Have used it for a day. I have to say, JML puts the fear of god in me, as a brand. Never been impressed by anything it makes, until now.
    Admittedly, I spun everything again, after it had washed, to reduce the moisture and give the Dri Buddi a chance.
    Needn't have worried, it has dried everything perfectly, even huge bath towels and sheets. I simply draped them over the umbrella top, then put the cover over and zipped up. Now in no rush to get the condenser dryer fixed. Happy mum :)

    It seems like a good alternative for people who do not live on hot dry climates with plenty of laundry lines. I just have to pop the hangers on the line for a blast of 100+F for a couple hours or less and everything dries. But for a condo or a humid or cool or wet location this would be ideal and really almost mimics the hot, dry desert summers out of doors. Clever. Like the review.

    I'm on my second dri buddi. The first one lasted for years. I replaced it about a year ago, collapsed it down recently and put away to decorate. When I went to put it up I found the locking spring clip that holds the spider canopy up as fallen out, as that is held in place purely with the spring tension there is no way I'm going to get that down the pole exactly aligned - the only fix is to put the canopy up and put a bolt in the hole.
    Both the top of the lower pole and bottom of the upper pole are threaded using a threaded collar. No real problem unless you unwittingly unscrew both. As the finish on the thread is so bad it has partially stripped the thread on the pole itself, dispute trying to clear the shards of aluminum off there is no thread as such to refasten the collar to.
    The Chinese have really excelled them self with the quality. The early model did seemed to be great, no problems with taking it down and putting it up but this later model has a typical cheap quality, saving 1/10th of a penny per unit results in poor quality.

    Descent review i had one for my former bedsit and it did the job but ,a tumble dryer is much better for drying clothes.The Dri should be reduced in price because it is made from cheap plastic and my clothes were constanly falling of the cheap plastic racks.This dri buddy is best used with single items , like shirts ,jackets and bed sheets,that is it weakness.

    From the design, and from what I read online, this is how you set your flat in fire. Usually a lot of heat, plastic and fabric all together is not a good idea. That is the kind of thing we all learn at school and working place involving a risk of fire.
    Buy a second hand washing machine 2 in 1 washing machine - cloth dryer, it will be less expensive and way less dangerous.

      ScatterShot Thanks Mickey. This item might dry the clothes so but the moisture remains within the building fabric and might need to be managed. Looks like this gadget is no use to me as I'm trying to eliminate the issues caused by drying clothes indoors on clothes horses - air quality, damp, mould etc. Vented or condensor dryer needed for that. If dribuddy could be vented to the exterior it would be interesting. Thanks for the review and response.

    • @lajoswinkler
      @lajoswinkler 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's nonsense unless you hook it up to a vent tube that leads outside or you put this thing on your balcony.

    • @time2shinex707
      @time2shinex707 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dri buddy is best used in a hallway or store room,if you do not have the space open the windows of the room you are using the dri buddy in,it does dry clothes but is takes hours depending on the amount used or the type.Tumble dryers are far quicker than this machine.

    Doesn't inspire me with confidence - was going to buy one last year then saw mixed reviews. Great ideas != good implementation and I'm hazarding a guess there are bigger and better dryers based on same concept. Why are top loaders (dryers) so unpopular in the UK? Much more efficient - seems to be style over substance? Those washer-dryers are ... sort of OK if that's all the space you've got, meh.

      If you had paid attention closely, you'd know that this dryer can be quickly uninstalled to be put away when not in use. How would I know? I used mine for the first time last night and it's currently tucked away under my bed, after doing a spectacular job on the clothes. And I didn't have to turn my flat into a jungle gym of hanging wet dripping clothes.
