My mother owns a house in California. Last year the house appreciated $78000. My income was $55,000 Even if we saved 100% of my income to pay for the house, the house appreciated $23,000 more than a decent income. When I applied for a home loan I was told "No." The cost of the mortgage + insurance + repairs would have been about $1200/mo. I've since been paying $1600/mo in rent for the same house because someone who was rich bought it and rented it out to me. This is why there's a housing crisis, and how rich people are forcing everyone else into indentured servitude/slavery.

I was raised in rural Texas with 5 siblings in a mobile home by my parents, neither of whom had college degrees. My dad was a janitor. We never had new clothes, name brand food, or often even milk for cereal. We were audited and found to be owing taxes. They took all of our savings (less than $1500) and garnished my dad's wages for 2 years. I remember walking into the living room and seeing some woman in a fancy suit going over these papers with my distraught mother. I knew something was wrong. I think back on that day often and wonder how that woman could walk into a dilapidated mobile home with a pile of kids running around in threadbare clothes and think 'These people need to pay more taxes'.

If the spending plan is for 10 years, and what the wealthy withhold is estimated at 5 trillion for 5 years, we would actually have more than twice what is needed for the spending. And that's not even adding in the economic growth the spending plan would likely bring about.
My small business was audited 2 times in my first 2 years. Most new businesses are lucky to make a profit in the first few years. Yet, they need to spend time on me. It was a joke.
