It's sad to know that Guoba sacrifice a lot to save people of Liyue during the disasters. He literally sacrifice his Adeptal power to give time for people to escape to Liyue Harbour. He deserved all the rest he can.

This looks like quite the character development for Keqing too. Usually she is just grudgingly respectful towards the Adepti and Rex Lapis, and believes they don't need the gods as much in the future. Here, she realizes the sacrifices Guoba and the other Adepti made in the past, and that without them, they probably would never have the future to look forward to at all. I like how she looked deep in thought.
She's actually been like this since the end of the Liyue storyline. Her voice lines show how humbled she was by the inhuman workload Rex Lapis had, now foisted onto the rest of the city. Understand that Keqing never hated Rex Lapis. After all, she called him REX LAPIS, not Morax. She merely thought that humans needed to be more independent. She's not wrong, just that she underestimated just how hard that would be. And now she buys Rex Lapis sculptures.

Marchosias is often depicted as a fire-spitting beast who is an excellent fighter, and is very faithful to those who call upon his power. Guoba is a fire-spitting beast who is an excellent fighter and is extremely loyal to the one who called upon his power. It all makes sense now.
This has one of the best storylines in the game. I was so happy to see all the characters of liyue in this quest and was genuinely sad to learn of guoba sacrifice for the people of liyue. The adeptus/adepti, yakshas and even Morax gave it all for the people. Love the lore

Although I’m still disappointed with MHY regarding the anniversary, this is easily the best cutscene yet. I watched this in awe the whole time. The visuals ascended.
It’s sad because if they marketed the festival as the anniversary event, it would have been fine. That final scene with in the cutscenes was sweet and it showed everyone in Liyue (even future unseen characters 👀). They were so close but instead they marketed the daily login as the anniversary and left it at that
This quest isn’t even just part of the anniversary and not just to celebrate Liyue’s culture, but also China’s culture as a whole. Their history of culinary expertise and traditions concerning nature and our relationship with it. Sure, Mihoyo can be very greedy, but they are also incredibly passionate in the things they create, and they truly represented the Chinese culture very well through Liyue.
Yup but so far only for Liyue, sure Mondstat have some lore but somehow it's feel less majestic than Liyue.......and then there's Inazuma who feels inferior compare Liyue and Mondstat. I know Inazuma is still new but it's feel so rush, for the fact we jump out next to sumeru already it's disheartening..... maybe because Inazuma is Japan so there's that.
Greedy? I never understand why people say that. Genshin is a free game that you can enjoy throughly with 0 cents spent, there are no hard walls for 99% of the content. You can do everything except the Abyss with your 5 starting characters and they give you plenty of primogems and acquaint/intertwined fates.
So that means when calamity happens and Zhongli’s busy doing gods knows what in Khaenriah, Guoba was the one defending Liyue preventing corruption to the land so that people wouldn’t starve at those tough time… Rex Lapis who? Guoba is my favorite god now!!

The musical transition right as the screen pans to Ningguang gave me chills. I'll be honest, I wasn't really expecting much with this event, but the quest and the storyline up until the end really blew me away. Even though we kinda already knew what was coming, the interaction between Xiangling and Guoba made an impact on me personally. The cinematics, in my opinion, really did our little character justice and that small reunion with an 'old friend' was a wholesome note to end on. This will go down as one of my favorite event quests.
I have mained xiangling from the beginning because I got her to c5 at 1st venti's banner and never thought like Guoba carry me in my mind. I always believe it was xiangling that carried me to this stage but not the dumb bear toy and now I'm crying 😢😭.You are not dumb bear ,Guoba .You are best boi.Also ,it could be said that they technically gave free xiangling at the beginning so now all the memories are overwhelming me .Damn ,the story is that good .I couldn't believe it .It is just pure tear jerker.

@@1mol831 well I am not a whale...I am totally f2p...I would say I got lucky on the Raiden banner as I got xangling 5 times from 45 rolls and ofc mommy raiden came home as well(had 36 roll pity from yoimiya banner)...so I think I was lucky in that banner

This has one of the best storylines in the game. I was so happy to see all the characters of liyue in this quest and was genuinely sad to learn of guoba sacrifice for the people of liyue. The adeptus/adepti, yakshas and even Morax gave it all for the people. Love the lore

Although I’m still disappointed with MHY regarding the anniversary, this is easily the best cutscene yet. I watched this in awe the whole time. The visuals ascended.
It’s sad because if they marketed the festival as the anniversary event, it would have been fine. That final scene with in the cutscenes was sweet and it showed everyone in Liyue (even future unseen characters 👀). They were so close but instead they marketed the daily login as the anniversary and left it at that

This quest isn’t even just part of the anniversary and not just to celebrate Liyue’s culture, but also China’s culture as a whole. Their history of culinary expertise and traditions concerning nature and our relationship with it.
Sure, Mihoyo can be very greedy, but they are also incredibly passionate in the things they create, and they truly represented the Chinese culture very well through Liyue.
Yup but so far only for Liyue, sure Mondstat have some lore but somehow it's feel less majestic than Liyue.......and then there's Inazuma who feels inferior compare Liyue and Mondstat. I know Inazuma is still new but it's feel so rush, for the fact we jump out next to sumeru already it's disheartening..... maybe because Inazuma is Japan so there's that.

Greedy? I never understand why people say that. Genshin is a free game that you can enjoy throughly with 0 cents spent, there are no hard walls for 99% of the content. You can do everything except the Abyss with your 5 starting characters and they give you plenty of primogems and acquaint/intertwined fates.

@@DrunkenEros That's probably Madame Ping. She had the Cleansing Bell if you look closely and is a polearm user since she's Xiangling's master it made sense.
The musical transition right as the screen pans to Ningguang gave me chills. I'll be honest, I wasn't really expecting much with this event, but the quest and the storyline up until the end really blew me away. Even though we kinda already knew what was coming, the interaction between Xiangling and Guoba made an impact on me personally.
The cinematics, in my opinion, really did our little character justice and that small reunion with an 'old friend' was a wholesome note to end on. This will go down as one of my favorite event quests.

I have mained xiangling from the beginning because I got her to c5 at 1st venti's banner and never thought like Guoba carry me in my mind. I always believe it was xiangling that carried me to this stage but not the dumb bear toy and now I'm crying 😢😭.You are not dumb bear ,Guoba .You are best boi.Also ,it could be said that they technically gave free xiangling at the beginning so now all the memories are overwhelming me .Damn ,the story is that good .I couldn't believe it .It is just pure tear jerker.
