Wow both those plants look ultra healthy Peter. My fingerlime took a bad hit as my plants are so closely packed together I never noticed it had dried out completely until the shoots had shrivelled up 🙄. Fortunately its still alive but I'm annoyed I'd missed it. I've also been lazy again this year and not fed the citrus since i first got them out, no wonder they aren't doing a lot 🙄
Oh no! Yeah, there are a few citrus trees that I've neglected. I also need to get back on top of the fertilising. Citrus really do seem to struggle when they aren't being fed enough. I also recently acquired a new citrus tree even though I said there wouldn't be any more lol. Video to come soon 🤣
Both the limes look really healthy Peter and the 2nd one had fruit. The first one absolutely covered in flower buds, the scent once they open i imagine will be amazing.
Your sunrise lime putting out so much growth, despite only having had it for a short period of time is quite impressive! Well done, fingers crossed its fruit survives 😤
They are definitely worthwhile growing! They are quite easy to care for and can be kept quite small. The only downside to them is they are extremely thorny lol 😂
That's a nice Fingerlime! Mine's from a tiny 4-inch rooted cutting, and it's still small. But it sure is a heavy producer! I find that they don't really "wake up" until the weather turns quite warm.
Thanks, Josh! Yeah, it has been quite slow to wake up this year, but that could very well be down to the colder start to summer we have had here this year. I'm very excited to try one someday 🤞
@@PeterEntwistle they're a unique flavor, for sure. One tip, avoid the rind when tasting, so it doesn't "interfere" with the jewels of meat inside. I usually split the fruit, then squeeze the "caviar" out. While I do like the bright, zesty, citrusy pop, I'm considering giving my tree away. I need to downsize, and focus on my other trees.
Wow … both are looking amazing. Great news to see a fruit on the Sunrise Lime. Fingers crossed it ripens and you get to try it. They’re so much nicer than Kumquats, imho. I was able to take scions from my SL and graft onto Poncirus, no doubt you’ll do the same in the future. Thanks for the update. 👍🏽
Thanks, Dom! Yeah, I'm delighted that they are both flowering and to have a fruit developing on the Sunrise Lime. I'm very excited to give them both a try in the future 🤞 Yes, I definitely want to have a go at grafting the SL onto Poncirus eventually 👍
Yeah, I'm hoping it turns out to be a tasty fruit. I'm sure at some point I could either trade some scions, rooted cutting or a plant grafted onto a Poncirus rootstock with you, Gary.
Lol, yeah. My guess is it will be either the rose-coloured one (I forget the name) or a pure green type. But I guess it could be from a mixed batch, so I could very well have a 'Lucky Dip' one lol 😂

Healthy fingerlime and fingerlime hybrids, Peter. I like the nice purple tinge on the flower buds.
Thanks, Gary! Yeah, The flowers are very eye-catching when they are in the purple stage, the colour really pops out amongst the leaves 👍

Thanks, Louise! Yeah, it's going to be incredible once they all open up 🙌

Thanks, Emil! Yeah, it has done pretty well! Hopefully, the fruit holds on 🤞
Sensational amount of flowers, you should get more than a couple of fruit on those 👌
Thanks! Yeah, I'm hoping at least a few will set.
I should get it repotted really, as it's pretty restricted in that pot 👍
Looks great Peter. Hopefully there’s enough time for the finger lime to flower and fruit for you.
Thanks, Oliver. Yeah, I'm hoping I get to try a finger lime fruit from it 🤞
Both very beautiful. My Sunrise lime is blooming too
Thanks, G! The flowers are opening up nicely on both of them now, hopefully, I get a few fruits to set 🤞
Finger lime is definitely on my wish list!

@@PeterEntwistle I read that far too quickly and was left wondering about your horny limes! Thorny is probably better than that!

Looks great! That branch should root easily if it's anything like other limes. Australian blood lime roots easily as well
Thanks! Yeah, hopefully, the cutting roots 🤞

I have to find a 'Sunrise Lime' to complement my 'Faustrime'

👍👍👍😀
Thank you for watching! 🙌
Mmmm.....I wonder what the fingerlime variety is? "Lucky Dip"? Wait And See"? "Gotta Keep You Guessing"?
