All the American forces deployed in Hamburg were sent as a counter attack team from the Russians, since Germany was taken by surprise. However the VP of the US happened to be there for the peace summit and the Russians took advantage of it, so they had to send Delta.
That's when I stopped watching ctfu how little they cared in making this game , the tanks were on humvee chassis lol you could see it when they went to turn , the tracks would morph like wheels 🤦♂️🤦♂️🙄☠
despite being one of the most unrealistic battles i've seen it still doesn't disappoint when it comes to cinematics and tactics? in a modern warfare game? LEGITEMATE TACTICS?
The Apache just hovering while firing at an enemy target was grating to me. Also leave it to a game designer to pretend Ospreys aren't 3x as fast as the blackhawks or that the hovercraft can keep up with Blackhawks on speed. Oh, don't forget the ridiculous Abrams getting one shot on the beach. American munitions couldn't even one shot our own substandard outdated M1A1s in Iraq when ISIS got a hold of them.

In Hollywood, it looks beautiful and just like in action movies, bots look absurdly stupid. Shooters with Volcanoes and unlimited AS on Abrams towers, which can not be killed except by a sniper - this is just something, and the Soviet T-72 tank with "Ilyich's eyebrows" on the tower is just a masterpiece worthy of Game Awards.

IRL that landing wouldn't have happened at all. Russia would need to cross three or four countries before getting to Germany. If this was any of the Baltic states, however, that might be a different situation. (Still wouldn't happen like that, though)

I don't know how and why but youtube recommended this to me and glad it did! MW3 is my favorite COD mainly for that wonderful campaign! The story is something else and a true finally for a Legendary trilogy that I started back when I was 8 years old with COD4! This mission made me feel like we are a large army a the beginning, then we count down to 6 or 7 men. If I remember correctly I think this was my actual first mission in MW3, the maps were already unlocked and all I had to do was choosing. For years and I was waiting for a sequel and it finally happened with MW2019 ... Well, not exactly a sequel but a reboot yet I am happy the MW series has returned, I am yet to play it sadly but it is only a matter of time.
I know this will sound stupid but why is everyone using the same weapon? In mw2 the allies wouldn’t just use the m4a1, they would use MP5K, M240, M16A4 and the scar-h. Here they all use the exact some weapon. Apart from the pilots.

So chances are, they're given what they want, whether it be a shotgun, an SMG, or even a rifle. Same goes to the Shadow Company guys. But if you noticed, while in the Rangers Campaign, your allies drop SCARs, M4A1s, or M16A4s. Why? Because they're sandard army. And seeing as that MW3's Delta Force campaign also features your allies mostly being Americans, it's to be expected that they drop M4A1s and M16A4s. The ome time where your allies do drop something esle is during the GIGN mission where you first encounter them. The GIGN can either drop an MP5, a G36, and more.
Sure battlefield has better multiplayer but cod campaigns are the best. Like none of the battlefield games could create such smart AI like this. Battlefield 3 was close but modern warfare 3 actual felt you were in a battle with soldiers both allies and combatants fighting around you. Battlefield campaigns have never had something like this
I live in Hamburg and this mission was my only reason to biy this game. Of course I played it and said „Ah no that‘s not what it looks lind in reality“ but after all they made a good job with it and it was fun to play it

This was a cool mission to look at, despite the glaring fact that Hamburg Germany is not a coastal city, so there wouldn't be a beach landing like this in the middle of an urban area. There's beaches along the river though.
The day we get drivable tanks, jets and helicopters in the multiplayer with battles like these will be Battlefield's undoing if they don't find a way to win back their audience.

In my opinion, the og mw3 is the best cod of all time. I love it with all my heart and it just has so many memories for me. It is just such an iconic game with so many memorable moments and characters. I really hope it gets a remaster. Not the multiplayer though, just the campaign like they did with mw2.

I think, with the advances in voice recognition, the voice command feature would be much more efficient in a newer one. I loved it, but talking isn't as fast as you can get simply using the numbered hot keys. Reminds me I need to get further than the tutorial.

Yes instead of spawning behind a wall, in this mission new reinforcements actually come with the helicopter which was really cool.
