I love how Wooedlegs games feel janky in the best possible way, It evokes such a weird nostalgia, and you can tell they arent sloppily made either cause theres so much detail in random parts that you wouldnt expect from a sloppily made game, you can tell hes doing this on purpose and i love it
as a regular player on winter I have to say it's probably his best game, people are constantly learning and creating new designs like that door you saw which is a new one compared to the regular one built on a hinge. Players can develop so much it's possibilities are basically endless, i've seen people make things ranging from moon bases to massive castles with functional gates that go up and down.
I once spent like 30 minutes sailing off the edge of the earth in swashbucklers and bilge rats after both teams ran out of ammunition. the edge was shockingly far away.
In swashbucklers’ and bilge rats, Theirs a chance where a “STORM” happens, being a nice event in the game. Making it quite cinematic. And is uh, heck in night time
The community (factions mostly) like to joke that the storms are why it has such a small player base, but I believe when you first start playing they have a charm to them, then after like the third time it gets really old
honestly, the gun system of Whizzbang alongside other games like The Blue and the Grey definitely was unique, i absolutely would not say its "bad", since most people are too used to pressing R for a reload, i can definitely see where people are coming from when they have to press buttons to load the guns, making them as effective as a line musket.
He also made Conquest and the Cowboy game. From what I’ve seen, conquest is very popular. And the cowboy game is quite alive and people think it’s very good.

The medics in trenches get hammered too hard for instance I was a medic once and I had to try to treat five patients two of them wounded coming towards me yelling at me for not healing them the rest of them buried under dead corpses meanwhile a German assault is about to hit I saved one dude and he was the dude who stopped me from getting an absolutely burned to death by a flamethrower only to die from a German rifleman
i had an encounter with this guy when he was smaller, i remember he made some small games similar to old-school roblox war clans, and i even bought a gun model off of him once to use in a game of mine. was surprised when i saw him again years later making games like whizzbang

The thing you mentioned where "sometimes people die sometimes they get back up and kill you instead" is an intended feature. People will get knocked down by a gunshot that death most of their health, but sometimes they won't die. Same thing happens when you jump off of a moving horse, you fall over but don't die.
I like all of woodlegs games and have played a decent portion of them all. One thing that I find kinda sad about it though is that fact woodleg kinda mistreats his staff a bit. (Not devs but some of the cops) He's still better than most game studio owners though since nowadays its kind of rare to see an owner interact with his community as well as he truly does.
My favorite part of winter is the fact you can ride vehicles on the power lines and if you ram into a structure with a power line vehicle then you can destroy part of it which makes for some restricted bumper cars

I might have played an older version, because when I played whizzbang, I HATED it. Like, A LOT. I couldn't see what I was shooting. The controls were buggy and I kept selecting the wrong things. There was no tutorial to explain what all the buttons did- it just told me what buttons I *could* press- and I couldn't see a foot in front of me during night time, so I just had to blindly fire into the darkness, and then get randomly shot. I hated even more having to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes (literally, I kept track of time, I waited in the lobby for 30 minutes for the game to end). Has it since been improved?

Whizzbangs atmosphere is just so good. it really captures the feeling of being stuck in the trenches with no way out.
