In Boruto, the hair of most of the characters began to be drawn very poorly. It's not just about changing hairstyles. Shadows on the hair when drawing characters are no longer superimposed, strands of hair are kept to a minimum.

Like the details in their hairstyles, lips, chins, faces and... other body parts seem to have been taken away in some fashion or look worse in comparison. While some do make sense like how certain characters will look old or others would look different with in lore explanations, (hinata's sister and orochimaru's body swapping) most of the others don't look good with the simplified styles. The only ones that were so affect were characters who already had a rather simple design already (shikimaru's original team for example).
