@@senkdesign I got it, one pattern piece was overlapping another in the uv editor. This was tricky because although had them arranged correctly, when I went to export the OBJ, they moved. I'll make a vid.
Hi, I'm not entirely sure, but if your pattern is too tight on the avatar, it can cause the simulation to look like it's "exploding" or collapsing unnaturally when the avatar isn't included. Double-check that your pressure is set to 0 and ensure you haven't altered the gravity settings. I hope this helps!
Hi! Incredible tutorial! Do you know how to export the animation for blender with out losing the textures? When I export it on glb or allembic it exports with out textures; and when I export it in fbx it loses the animation... Anyone could help me? Thanks :)
There are a few ways: 1. Export additionally as obj to bender and then link all the textures to alembic file. 2. Export as Obj + MDD file (for animation) or Point Cache 3. Export as USD, I haven't tested if it holds animation file though, but it holds garment and avatar textures for sure.
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I'm having a hard time importing the pattern. I get the message "incompatible with the current avatar". Would you happen to have any idea of how to fix that?
I'll try to see if this happens with a new Clo version. Feel free to email your project file to contact@senkdesign.com I'll see if I can troubleshoot this for you :)
Hello, I recommend that you first place the patterns in the 2D window before converting the file to .OBJ, then proceed with the explanations in the video
Would be interesting to see your project file to know exactly. My first guess would be to make sure when exporting/importing the obj the location is set to 0 in all axes. Let me know if this helps :)
@@senkdesign hello I am using a default avatar from clo 3 d and when I apply motion the avatar stand above ground level not the garment and if I try to bring it to the ground . It will cancel the motion . How to adjust the location of the avatar which is on ground before applying the motion. Thanks for your help and your tutorial videos
Hello, when I import the OBJ file of the outfit, it says that the avatar is not compatible,😓 Could it be because I'm doing it in Marvelous Designer? thank you
I have this same issue too! I'm trying so hard to figure out what I'm doing wrong - I can't find resources anywhere..... did you find a solution? @senkdesign
Wow this tutorial is amazing!! thank you
You're very welcome! ☺️
I always used to think how do they do this .THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙂👍
Same! In fact it's easier than you think hahah
Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying this out soon.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes :)
hi, can you create a tutorial on how to light and render for a good product render output? By the way great content
Hey! Great suggestion, I will do this.
Amazing, just tested this out and it worked! There is something going on with my textures though, I'll have to troubleshoot.
Great! Hmm I’m not sure what could be the issue with your textures 🫣 have you sorted your patterns in the UV editor?
@@senkdesign I did, I'll let you know what happens when I play around a bit more👍

this did not work for me, can you help me?
Hi! Any idea as to why my pattern sort of "explodes" instead of just falling to the ground nicely?

🥳🥳🥳 thanks for the support!
Hi, this is great! Thank You! Are you stitching the two animations together in After Effects?
Hi, thanks a lot! Yes I did, most of the time I use After Effects :)
Love the video! Can you tell me how to apply different cameras??🧡
Sure I can, I'll create a tutorial this week :)
Thank you for this tutorial.
Can this animation be taken to blender and rendered there?
Thanks for your comment! I need to test this workflow out, but it should in my opinion.

Which clo 3d version are you using ??
This video was done with Clo 7.1 or 7.3 I think. At the moment I'm using Clo 2024
