I just received a 1925 version of this Continental Standard….. has a few different/updated features, but mostly the same, except a smaller decal of the Wanderer Werke factory on a 1” circle on the left of the hatch door… and a newer type face of the word “CONTINENTAL” in gold and green lettering! Still figuring the operation out, so your vid helped! Thank you! I have at least one of each of the later portable Continental models, and I truly love them!
I suspect it is from 1911 indeed. It is so interesting to see how over the years these machines kept changing over and over, and how little improvements and details were added over time
Love the early standards and this one is in great condition. Interesting machine, similar to a Underwood but also lots of unique features. I wonder if that rear adjustment has settings other than stencil. Densmore standards had a similar mechanism in the same location for “extended typing” which would double-space characters and t y p e l i k e t h i s .

That tabulator dial is really awesome! I hope you get your hands on some tab stops from this model
