When the temp goes above 30C and the relative humidity is below 30%… forest fires can self ignite. No lightning or tossed cigarette butts required. And we’ve had those conditions for weeks in parts of BC 😳

Is their any chance the Fire Departments could borrow some water trucks from anywhere? The Mining and Construction industry often use Caterpillar water trucks and other similar vehicles to spray water everywhere.

Cloud seeding doesn’t work like that. You need very specific clouds to seed the rain. I’m not entirely sure but I think the smoke would also have an effect on the process also.

Fire hydrants ringing the town could then create a barrier of wet mud. Could suggestions like this work? I'm not 100 percent sure. But here's an idea let's ask the firefighters NOT the politicians what they would want to do --- after all, they know best. The time for planning for next summers' forest fires is NOW and not when it gets to within striking distance of your town. Hard decisions are going to have to be made.

And also I visited Victoria and Vancouver during Month of December couple times in the past. In Manitoba it was minus 32 with extreme heavy snowfall. Then I took a plane too Vancouver and then drove to Victoria that same week at it was plus 9 to 10 degrees. And it just rain majority of the time. I know it snows in other parts. But it is still warm compared to what I'm used to.

What would be the point in starting wildfires, if no one knows what activist group or why they did it? Not a very good way to convey a message of any sort.
