Amy’s infatuation over sonic has been kinda my favorite running gags ever since I completed Sonic CD, but the fact they removed a lot of shit is beyond me.
I'm perfectly fine with them moving past it as a character trait, so long as they relentlessly clown on her for it going forward. Like, even she gets embarrassed by how she used to act, as a new running gag.

As a long time fan who loved the late 90s,early 2000s video games and the Japanese Sonic X...this timeline is kind of frustrating me since Sonic Colors.. But not gonna lie the new Shadow story is great. Sonic Generations always had trash storyline so if they didn't redo every horrible cutscene then it still has great or good gameplay(i don't like that 2D is implemented in the 3D levels) but non exist story structure.

They even used the word damn in songs like Death Chamber/Deeper and Unknown From Me 2. Amy went from having a funny personality to no personality at all. She went into the adventures not because of any skills like Knuckles or Tails but just because she really loved Sonic. I guess we can't have female characters like male characters anymore, even one that was 100% designed to be obssessed with Sonic.

She's a damn cartoon hedgehog, it's OK for her motivation to be ridiculous.
Amy's very first apperance was in the Shogakukan Sonic manga as Nicky's gilrfriend who happened to be has a secret alter ego named Sonic in 1992. Amy loved this Sonic persona but Nicky wasn't aware that it was him all along. Amy's whole purpose was to be Mickey's Minnie Mouse but with a twist. Sonic doesn't want any relationships and is secretly loves her but will never admit it even to himself. While Amy being the opposite who express her feelings without any problem,any time. And this is how their dynamic was born. Archie Comics has nothing to do with Amy Rose. They were forced to update her look because Sonic Adventure,the new sonic game with new character design just hit shelves and they had to create this bs aging up Accorn that made her look older but her mind was still fucktioned as an 8 years old. Video game Amy and Archie Amy are two different character with different roles in mind because Sally always stole the spotlight.

Sorry to disappoint you but that was only English rewrite. In the original JP version she just said: "Aw man what is this? My clothes are all dirty" without even mentioning Sonic. And also don't forget that in the end credits in one of the images Sonic and Amy went shopping together. The English script was never good. They always changed dialogues for no reason. I love Sonic Shuffle btw.

They did remove Valentine's "jiggle" animation from Super Mario RPG, but other then at least, at least they kept her figure and left the game uncensored. And granted the original juggle animation looked weird anyway.
They already did it to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Quite extensively, in fact. They even rewrote Vivian in Japan, so it wasn't just the localizers, but they went so far as to replace every instance of the words "crazy" and "nuts" in the script - often to terrible results. I cannot believe they signed off on changing "He's some kinda health nut...lots of nuts down here, huh? This one's a health nut, though" to "He's some kinda health fanatic...lots of intense folks down here, huh? This one's the healthy kind of intense though." Couldn't even put the comma in that last line. It's everywhere now. There are no exceptions.
They've already been ruining Rouge. In Sonic Prime, they gave her a jumpsuit to cover her up so there wouldn't be cleavage and made her boobs flatter. I'm dreading how they will portay her if or when they ever include her in the live-action movies.
If you ask me, she was ruined all the way back in Sonic X. They turned her into this sleazy bimbo with saxophones blaring over her every scene in the english ost. Original Rouge was never even flirtatious in SA2, she was more of a selfish brat who was always trying to muscle her way into getting what she wanted. She was never manipulative, instead just getting off her ass and taking what she wanted. Not the most heroic traits, but she wasn't supposed to be a hero. I forget if it's canon to the games or not, but I don't think she officially worked for the government, she was hired by them for her skills. Since then, she's done little to nothing to show personality, outside of like 06 and Battle.

Honestly though if you look at Sonic Adventure, that description does fit Amy. She chooses to help the little birdy, just because she cares. And she realized she can be strong without Sonic. So that actually makes sense, her character isn’t just “LOVE SONIC”

Even back in the day, I knew Rouge was gonna struggle to have presence in the series after SA2. I absolutely love her design, especially the original shortstack version, but I could tell that she was too edgy for the series. After years of absence, they finally start bringing her back in various ways, only to now have her suddenly be bonked with the censorship stick. Honestly, I'd have preferred that she just remained a one time character at this rate.

Amy used to be one of my favorite characters because she was kind hearted and brave but also had her fan girl attitude to sonic that was genuinely funny most of the time take one side of her personality out and she is just boring Last time we even got a hint of amy's love for sonic ingame was lost world when she was slowly dying and tried to confess her love, after that it dissapeared entirely and now they are even retconning her old self wow.
She muttered a bit in Forces, but in Frontiers it was like there was something there in the beginning but see a cute rock couple die after being reunited made her go "Yeah, I should have a uniform and undistinguished love for everybody instead of liking one guy." If she was flanderized before she standardized now.

Literally refunded it a couple hours ago because of all this shit (plus extra when I went down the rabbit hole of changes...) ITS A FUCKING SONIC GAME. and the "the original is still on sale" excuse pisses me off. 1, you lose the entire shadow part, 2. It is TERRIBLY optimized for PC especially if you are a streamer, my friend tried and if he had to tab out or change screen etc, it'd break

MASSIVE Sonic fan (Sonic in his Adventure pose is tattooed on my leg) here. Well, until Roger became the voice for him in in 2009.. I never cared much for Generations at all due to the atrocious physics and how he controls like a tank, yet is super floaty, but them calling this a "Remaster" is almost insulting to the term and the changes put in place are so unnecessary. Rouge's entire persona is supposed to be that style of character (see her alt costumes in SA2). It's not that it's an innate need to keep "omg sexualization", but her... Back...? I assume this is how it felt when people got mad at women for their ankles showing decades ago lol
As someone who loves Sonic Generations and is also one of my favorite games ever, these stupid changes are super disappointing. Some of the new voice-over they added is extremely jarring and unfitting as well. Even Sonic Colors Ultimate, being a huge mess at launch, didn't mess with the original cutscenes...so why now? I'm praying that through enough complaining to SEGA, they'll have the decency to at least give us the options for the og cutscenes.
The serious answer is that Sonic Colors ultimate came out just BEFORE Sega issued this new movement where "consultants" and the like can interject into the production of a game mid-development and change whatever they wanted to better suit the "Modern audience". I kid you not, you can find it on their socials months back. This goes for Sega, Square, Capcom, Nintendo, etc. Essentially, anyone who strongarms their way in can change stuff in the middle of game development. That is exactly what happened here.
@@jase276Thanks for the intel. I wasn't aware of this for SEGA, but I definitely knew this was the case for Square (which is also sad because I love FF just as much as Sonic). If this is the trend of how modern gaming is going even for a few of my select fav franchises I might just stop all together honestly (keeping and playing the older stuff of course though).
If Sega sends out surveys to those who bought this game, it will be worth it. We start buying the game just for the ability to fill out the surveys, and make it clear to Sega to cut the DEI nonsense out of their culture.

This game literally added the heavy almost mature rated depth for shadows story, don’t worry the game is fine, I think this is a misunderstanding on the whole ever made the comparison. The ending cutscene for the collection leaked for the Sonic Generations part of the game and that was changed as well as originally they were back at Sonic’s birthday party with everyone congratulating Sonic and Knuckles said he “wasn’t half bad” and Amy excitedly saying he was great and shoving Knuckles into a tree in an anime fashion has been reduced to her flicking him on the forehead and slightly knocking him off balance. It sucks that comedic moments like that and the hand to the face were taken out due to people being so sensitive.
At least it proves that Knuckles would win in a fight against Amy. They tried to joke about it in a Twitter thing, bur now this shows Amy stands no chance against any of the male heroes.

The target audience for sonic is kids, and anyone with kids has seen the 'Amy/Sonic" dynamic in small children, and Sonic's responses are spot on for how small children should behave whenever an 'Amy' shows up.

They actually censored her too in the game. Her back is completely black outfit now, (I guess female backs are too sultry now...) and they changed some of her poses during the cinematic scenes to hide her chest more.
I can't say I was a fan of Sonic growing up. But I'm tired of these people who aren't fans of our series. The worst part is it could be my favorite series MGS. They did push for the gay stuff in the later games and I just don't like it. So they need to be gone with this crap for good. I'd say Good Riddance.

PC's not even the Master Race because DRM and the fact you guys don't own the games you buy unless you buy them from GOG and you brag about pirating but are tight lip on just how to do it.
The reason they're changing the cutscenes is to add Shadow in as a character so they had to get remade because they are pre rendered. For the year of Shadow they made this where you get the Sonic Generations portion and you get a new campaign based around Shadow. Also that model of Rouge was in a T-pose (a form used so developers can work on the model of a character and see them as clearly as possible). That's why her wings were like that likely to keep them out of the way while updating her character model textures.
Top scars are cool and inclusive but we draw the line at a cartoon character exposing too much shoulders and back. That's not very inclusive of people who enjoy being scantily clad

I got dbox chairs so motion can help me but, I played classic sonic games, even watched sonic X back in the day. Honestly I’m failing to see how this game was “censored” (aside from Rouge being censored) the more I look into it and it’s pretty obvious many people here aren’t that knowledgeable in the lore of Sonic. This so called “censorship” to me seems to be more of trying to undo years of the bad writing of Ken Pontac and Warren Graff who wrote most of the meta era games and those two guys knew nothing about Sonic and it really shows in the game. To this day it’s still very questionable why Sega even hired people who worked on Happy Tree Friends and knew nothing about the history of Sonic. Say what you will about Ian Flynn but at least he seems to be trying to revert the franchise to what it used to be and there’s only so much you can do to undo years of bad writing of Ken Pontac and Warren Graff. Even the Japanese thought Pontac and Graff’s writing was so bad that they changed the script in their games.
Hi I'm a big Sonic fan, I've been a big Sonic fan since Adventure and all... Almost none of this seems like censorship. You can argue the Rouge stuff is censorship, sure, but the rest... Not exactly. It's a rewrite with taking the series in a different path then what it was in the orginal game back then. I know Sonic and Amy well, I am one of those odd SonAmy peeps, and I gotta say Sonic pushing on Amy's face is not a good representation of either of the two's characters nor their relationship. They are at least friends and friends don't do that. The new one shows they are both happy to be with each other. The profile is odd, but it fits with how the character is now. Amy doesn't focus on Sonic as much as she did, probably to give her more character then just 'the sonic fangirl' (she could be that, but it isn't all she can be). Amy is different then she was in Generations... Speaking of which, it is worth mentioning that Generations has new writers then back then. While I haven't seen all dialog, it looks like it's an improvement from the original seeing it represents the series more then the original Generations does (which, story wise.... Wasn't written the best...). That's why the dialog is different, just a simple rewrite. I don't think any ideas of 'woke idology' were of any thoughts in this when it was being made, nor were they trying to make any big statement, if it was then wouldn't that be represented in the Shadow stuff the game is mainly being advertised as having? Wheres the 'woke pandering' there? I just think y'all are seeing something that isn't really there I'm afraid.

Ian flynn is infamous for trying to add his own agenda into his sonic works. For instance; he tried to make sonic’s girlfriend in the comics (sally acorn) in a lesbian relationship with her best friend, he made sally acorn have more fat since she originally was fit, he tried yet again with making an lgbt couple in the reboot comics; finally, attack comicsgate after a head member of it endorsed him…. Yeah he’s caused many problems before becoming a head writer for the games including this one.
I think you never read his comics, because honestly none of that happened. Sally never got with Nicole, she never became fat, and such. Though, supposedly Ian said he considered teasing Sally X Nicole to see if fans wanted that direction, because Sega won't allow Sonic and Sally to be together. He previously teased Sally with Monkey Kahn, but they aren't allowed to use him anymore. I did hear rumors some of the artists and editors at IDW wanted Tangle and Whisper together, but Sega won't allow it. I don't know if the writers Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley supported it however.

It's been a while, pretty sure those are all pre-rendered scenes. Either the new renders were set up without as much care, or it's low video bit rate to help fit on a smaller/cheap sized switch card.

Coming from a beyond huge fan of Sonic that usually aligns with anti-you know mentalities cause I do believe usually they result in worse products. This is fine. For context, Amy liking Sonic isn't a one way love. Amy is Sonic's canonical option in the Test of Love in Sonic 06, they plan a date in Sonic Unleashed and go on that date in Sonic and the Black Knight, all 3 games happening before Generations. Sonic's feelings have been revisited in the web show/events of the Takeovers, there's flirting in the show Sonic Prime and the IDW comics and most notably Sonic outright goes "I wish we were sharing an umbrella Amy" and "Amy. I should have made up my mind sooner" in Sonic Frontiers. Sonic has established feelings for Amy. Looking at the original depictions of Sonic Generations, Sonic shoving Amy in that way, a girl she has established feelings for and respects, was always mega weird and ngl straight up out of character. This new depiction is a better visual representation of both characters but most especially Sonic. It is a good change. Now the character bio for Amy, yeah, that was changed to something worse indeed. The second thing I've been seeing is Rouge's design being altered to cover her previously bare back. The point of the wings looking ugly and like they "clip" in that design is just not true if you ask me, and it's a design philosophy that's worked before. Sonic Adventure 2 multiplayer skins, Sonic Heroes skin, the Sonic Riders trilogy skin, almost every mobile game and Sonic Speed Simulator skin, Sonic Prime skin, Sonic Channel PICTs, they all have Rouge with a covered back where the wings are and it works just fine. Sonic Generations (as I've proven here) isn't the first time and it doesn't look bad. However, it's both worse than the OG design and unnecessary indeed. Some don't like that Rouge is SUPPOSED to be seductive and attractive, it's part of her character. A revealed back is an attractive feature visually. "That's so weird", no, it's simply a character trait that gets reenforced by the OG design, and now it's less effective.
Massive Sonic Fan here, I really really hate these changes because of how unnecessary they are but I’m still buying the game. Ever since Ian Flynn took over the writing I pretty stopped caring about the Stories because I really don’t like his Characterizations, part of it is also Mandates from SEGA which involve Amy no longer showing affection towards Sonic and started in Sonic Frontiers. While I’m apathetic to the stories now the gameplay of the new Shadow Portion is the best since the original Generations.
Sonic frontiers was the last straw. I’m taking a break as a Sonic fan bc honestly Sonic isn’t the same anymore as a character. Not just him but a handful of his friends and their dumb changes. It makes no sense.

As a long time Sonic fan, I find it mentally unstable to be censoring a “kids” game that never had anything wrong with it.
Yeah because a franchise where Chao getting killed on screen, Maria getting shot along with many other people on the colony that got executed by G.U.N, Tails grabbing Sara’s chest, thousands of people dying from Perfect Chaos flooding the city and Gerald Robotnik trying to wipe out humanity is totally for kids… and let’s not forget Sonic got impaled on screen too with Silver trying to kill him too. Sonic 06 may not be a good game and it isn’t but Sonic always had very dark themes.
Edit: Man we live in a time where a lot of people don’t know or understand what Sonic is actually supposed to be as a franchise.

As a long time fan who loved the late 90s,early 2000s video games and the Japanese Sonic X...this timeline is kind of frustrating me since Sonic Colors..
But not gonna lie the new Shadow story is great. Sonic Generations always had trash storyline so if they didn't redo every horrible cutscene then it still has great or good gameplay(i don't like that 2D is implemented in the 3D levels) but non exist story structure.

Amy's very first apperance was in the Shogakukan Sonic manga as Nicky's gilrfriend who happened to be has a secret alter ego named Sonic in 1992. Amy loved this Sonic persona but Nicky wasn't aware that it was him all along.
Amy's whole purpose was to be Mickey's Minnie Mouse but with a twist. Sonic doesn't want any relationships and is secretly loves her but will never admit it even to himself. While Amy being the opposite who express her feelings without any problem,any time. And this is how their dynamic was born.
Archie Comics has nothing to do with Amy Rose. They were forced to update her look because Sonic Adventure,the new sonic game with new character design just hit shelves and they had to create this bs aging up Accorn that made her look older but her mind was still fucktioned as an 8 years old. Video game Amy and Archie Amy are two different character with different roles in mind because Sally always stole the spotlight.

And also don't forget that in the end credits in one of the images Sonic and Amy went shopping together. The English script was never good. They always changed dialogues for no reason.

They even rewrote Vivian in Japan, so it wasn't just the localizers, but they went so far as to replace every instance of the words "crazy" and "nuts" in the script - often to terrible results. I cannot believe they signed off on changing "He's some kinda health nut...lots of nuts down here, huh? This one's a health nut, though" to "He's some kinda health fanatic...lots of intense folks down here, huh? This one's the healthy kind of intense though." Couldn't even put the comma in that last line.

Even back in the day, I knew Rouge was gonna struggle to have presence in the series after SA2. I absolutely love her design, especially the original shortstack version, but I could tell that she was too edgy for the series.
After years of absence, they finally start bringing her back in various ways, only to now have her suddenly be bonked with the censorship stick.

I never cared much for Generations at all due to the atrocious physics and how he controls like a tank, yet is super floaty, but them calling this a "Remaster" is almost insulting to the term and the changes put in place are so unnecessary. Rouge's entire persona is supposed to be that style of character (see her alt costumes in SA2). It's not that it's an innate need to keep "omg sexualization", but her... Back...? As someone who loves Sonic Generations and is also one of my favorite games ever, these stupid changes are super disappointing. Some of the new voice-over they added is extremely jarring and unfitting as well.
Even Sonic Colors Ultimate, being a huge mess at launch, didn't mess with the original cutscenes...so why now?
I'm praying that through enough complaining to SEGA, they'll have the decency to at least give us the options for the og cutscenes.
The serious answer is that Sonic Colors ultimate came out just BEFORE Sega issued this new movement where "consultants" and the like can interject into the production of a game mid-development and change whatever they wanted to better suit the "Modern audience". I kid you not, you can find it on their socials months back. This goes for Sega, Square, Capcom, Nintendo, etc. Essentially, anyone who strongarms their way in can change stuff in the middle of game development. That is exactly what happened here.

One of, if not the best joke in the game. I love how the expect that people are just going to ignore or not notice that it's been removed.
The ending cutscene for the collection leaked for the Sonic Generations part of the game and that was changed as well as originally they were back at Sonic’s birthday party with everyone congratulating Sonic and Knuckles said he “wasn’t half bad” and Amy excitedly saying he was great and shoving Knuckles into a tree in an anime fashion has been reduced to her flicking him on the forehead and slightly knocking him off balance. It sucks that comedic moments like that and the hand to the face were taken out due to people being so sensitive.

They actually censored her too in the game. Her back is completely black outfit now, (I guess female backs are too sultry now...) and they changed some of her poses during the cinematic scenes to hide her chest more.
I can't say I was a fan of Sonic growing up. But I'm tired of these people who aren't fans of our series. The worst part is it could be my favorite series MGS. They did push for the gay stuff in the later games and I just don't like it. So they need to be gone with this crap for good. I'd say Good Riddance.

The reason they're changing the cutscenes is to add Shadow in as a character so they had to get remade because they are pre rendered. For the year of Shadow they made this where you get the Sonic Generations portion and you get a new campaign based around Shadow. Also that model of Rouge was in a T-pose (a form used so developers can work on the model of a character and see them as clearly as possible). That's why her wings were like that likely to keep them out of the way while updating her character model textures.
I just cancelled my pre order. I'm sure Sega won't mind just one less person buying their game. It's such a small change.

Honestly I’m failing to see how this game was “censored” (aside from Rouge being censored) the more I look into it and it’s pretty obvious many people here aren’t that knowledgeable in the lore of Sonic. This so called “censorship” to me seems to be more of trying to undo years of the bad writing of Ken Pontac and Warren Graff who wrote most of the meta era games and those two guys knew nothing about Sonic and it really shows in the game. To this day it’s still very questionable why Sega even hired people who worked on Happy Tree Friends and knew nothing about the history of Sonic. Say what you will about Ian Flynn but at least he seems to be trying to revert the franchise to what it used to be and there’s only so much you can do to undo years of bad writing of Ken Pontac and Warren Graff.
Even the Japanese thought Pontac and Graff’s writing was so bad that they changed the script in their games.

Hi I'm a big Sonic fan, I've been a big Sonic fan since Adventure and all... Almost none of this seems like censorship. You can argue the Rouge stuff is censorship, sure, but the rest... Not exactly. It's a rewrite with taking the series in a different path then what it was in the orginal game back then.
I know Sonic and Amy well, I am one of those odd SonAmy peeps, and I gotta say Sonic pushing on Amy's face is not a good representation of either of the two's characters nor their relationship. They are at least friends and friends don't do that. The new one shows they are both happy to be with each other.
The profile is odd, but it fits with how the character is now. Amy doesn't focus on Sonic as much as she did, probably to give her more character then just 'the sonic fangirl' (she could be that, but it isn't all she can be). Amy is different then she was in Generations...
Speaking of which, it is worth mentioning that Generations has new writers then back then. While I haven't seen all dialog, it looks like it's an improvement from the original seeing it represents the series more then the original Generations does (which, story wise.... Wasn't written the best...). That's why the dialog is different, just a simple rewrite.
I don't think any ideas of 'woke idology' were of any thoughts in this when it was being made, nor were they trying to make any big statement, if it was then wouldn't that be represented in the Shadow stuff the game is mainly being advertised as having? Wheres the 'woke pandering' there?

For instance; he tried to make sonic’s girlfriend in the comics (sally acorn) in a lesbian relationship with her best friend, he made sally acorn have more fat since she originally was fit, he tried yet again with making an lgbt couple in the reboot comics; finally, attack comicsgate after a head member of it endorsed him…. Yeah he’s caused many problems before becoming a head writer for the games including this one.

I think you never read his comics, because honestly none of that happened. Sally never got with Nicole, she never became fat, and such. Though, supposedly Ian said he considered teasing Sally X Nicole to see if fans wanted that direction, because Sega won't allow Sonic and Sally to be together. He previously teased Sally with Monkey Kahn, but they aren't allowed to use him anymore.
I did hear rumors some of the artists and editors at IDW wanted Tangle and Whisper together, but Sega won't allow it. I don't know if the writers Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley supported it however.

@@MelonieMacGoBoomEven then you’re not far off, Sonic Team didn’t really bother remastering the original Generations aside from adding a few new features. The new Shadow Generations Campaign is the main selling point and also what they mostly worked on.
It's been a while, pretty sure those are all pre-rendered scenes. Either the new renders were set up without as much care, or it's low video bit rate to help fit on a smaller/cheap sized switch card.

The Japanese version is never censored. But Japanese will notice the differences and make the complaints known. Sega of Japan will buckle because Japan at large aren’t fans of the woke crap.

Rouge is very provocative for a kid's targeted series
Generations was pretty criticized for it's lackluster script flanderizing the main cast alongside the 2010's Sonic media
Ian Flynn just rewrites the work they gave him and since it's an aniversary game he's just remembering us memorable moments
That being said, it's sad that these changes came out on such a woke state of gaming
Fans wanted for Amy to have more trades than just simping Sonic which she did
Her compansion making Gamma and Shadow see the light, her cheerful energy leading her to lead Team Rose, the fact that this cutesy girly girl is super temperamental and carries and actual darn mega hammer
But fans complained and now she's just a decent member of society, not personality or spunk, i think JebZone's bit in his Sonic Frontiers reviews express it the best
People forget this a japanese series, Sonic and Amy relationship are like that of Goku and ChiChi, Naruto and Hinata
The cool guy kinda innocent to realize the obvious moves from the cute yet strong girl
But Sonic isn't dumb, he just doesn't want to settle down, he's more like the wind if you catch my breath
I just hope SEGA doesn't blindly chase modern trends and removes Amy Crush's on Sonic, as if there was anything wrong with it
She still sees him as that blue prince she was hoping to meet in Little Planet

Coming from a beyond huge fan of Sonic that usually aligns with anti-you know mentalities cause I do believe usually they result in worse products.
This is fine. For context, Amy liking Sonic isn't a one way love. Amy is Sonic's canonical option in the Test of Love in Sonic 06, they plan a date in Sonic Unleashed and go on that date in Sonic and the Black Knight, all 3 games happening before Generations. Sonic's feelings have been revisited in the web show/events of the Takeovers, there's flirting in the show Sonic Prime and the IDW comics and most notably Sonic outright goes "I wish we were sharing an umbrella Amy" and "Amy. I should have made up my mind sooner" in Sonic Frontiers. Sonic has established feelings for Amy. Looking at the original depictions of Sonic Generations, Sonic shoving Amy in that way, a girl she has established feelings for and respects, was always mega weird and ngl straight up out of character. This new depiction is a better visual representation of both characters but most especially Sonic. It is a good change. Now the character bio for Amy, yeah, that was changed to something worse indeed.
The second thing I've been seeing is Rouge's design being altered to cover her previously bare back. The point of the wings looking ugly and like they "clip" in that design is just not true if you ask me, and it's a design philosophy that's worked before. Sonic Adventure 2 multiplayer skins, Sonic Heroes skin, the Sonic Riders trilogy skin, almost every mobile game and Sonic Speed Simulator skin, Sonic Prime skin, Sonic Channel PICTs, they all have Rouge with a covered back where the wings are and it works just fine. Sonic Generations (as I've proven here) isn't the first time and it doesn't look bad. However, it's both worse than the OG design and unnecessary indeed. Some don't like that Rouge is SUPPOSED to be seductive and attractive, it's part of her character. A revealed back is an attractive feature visually. "That's so weird", no, it's simply a character trait that gets reenforced by the OG design, and now it's less effective.

Massive Sonic Fan here, I really really hate these changes because of how unnecessary they are but I’m still buying the game. Ever since Ian Flynn took over the writing I pretty stopped caring about the Stories because I really don’t like his Characterizations, part of it is also Mandates from SEGA which involve Amy no longer showing affection towards Sonic and started in Sonic Frontiers. While I’m apathetic to the stories now the gameplay of the new Shadow Portion is the best since the original Generations.

@@brokeninfinitysonic1 Yeah I thought Frontiers was terribly written and changed the Characters into worse versions of themselves. I’m still with the series because I mostly care about the gameplay and at the very least have those small moments where the characters just do cool shit haha.

The whole point of Amy's relationship is that she's overbearing to her crush at times. They're literally ruining an old, established part of a game series by watering it down in a *remake* of an _anniversary title._ 🤣

I really dispensed of what they did to Amy character because one of the charms or things we love about amy is that she loves sonic. I hate this dumb mind set of changing amy character to be this "girlboss" or reduce her to be just the girl in sonic friends or claimed it apparently "better now" when her one of the things we love about amy is her interactions with sonic and how funny and cute it is and how she will never give up and will try to make sonic his girlfriend and we do know that sonic does has feelings for amy and does care about her because they went on dates in the past games
