He also has something called synesthesia which is where you can associate sounds with colors or mix senses, so if you try to look at these instrumentals as a painting then you can start to understand why it sounds so good together
being around since the very beginning of the era and everyone speculating about what "it's been a pleasure" could mean after it was in the band's bio to hearing it in the first track is such a massive pay off i love all their easter eggs

you can really tell that this is the first album awsten had vocal training for because he's always had great range and a great voice but it definitely took it to another level
esp with the high notes in Feel!!!
This is my favorite parx album by far. Awsten wrote a couple letters for the fans (or listeners in general) leading up to the album release where he explained how his struggle with religious guilt/trauma was the motivation for writing this album. Everything from the candid lyricism to the blue frog on the album cover has religious significance to it that he’s also created his own definitions for. He said that the main themes were about the violent internal conflicts he experiences pertaining to the way he generally lives his life and obsessing over what kind of person his daily choices and responses to world makes him. He also stated that he wanted to highlight how sexuality (represented through the color red) is something that he feels guilt about, but is learning to overcome and normalize those feelings within himself and to view hyper-sexuality differently than the narratives that may have been pushed on him.
This album hits wayyyyy too close to home for me in the best way possible. He explained and articulated so many thoughts and feelings that I don’t know how or never learned to express so I’m extremely grateful that he chose to put his story out there.
Also, if you want some heavier parx, I’d recommend exploring their earlier stuff. Songs like Little Violence, Tantrum, Blonde, Silver, They All Float, and Easter Egg are MUST LISTENS.

it's funny that you asked if awsten has adhd because fans have speculated that the reason he named real super dark the way he did is because it can be abbreviated to "rsd" which also stands for "rejection sensitive dysphoria" which is common in people with adhd
Steven, I am still highly recommending you listen to FANDOM. i think youd truly love it.
FANDOM, Greatest Hits, and Intellectual Property are all so different from each other that I can't compare them or choose my favorite. I just remember the emotional response I had after listening to FANDOM for the first time and I need to relive that again through you.

my top 2 tracks are night out on earth and end of the water but im also obsessed with ritual, and my favourite lyric in the whole album is definitely "was i loved or was i right" because i definitely relate to always feeling like you have to be right in a relationship but luckily it's not like that in my current relationship
