Heck, he can't even get out of home regional anymore. Why? Hitting sucks all year and pitching not solid enough all way around to get to and thru SEC tournament, not to mention the NCAAT. Forget about getting to CWS. If DVH doesn't get more than 1 good pitcher, he can forget further success. If he can't stop making excuses about the draft, he can forget it. If he keeps doing same thing over and over with same coaching staff, he can forget it. Do you think Ark is the only program that is affected annually by the draft? Do you think Ark is the only program that has injuries? Do you think Ark is the only program that struggles to have a solid pitching staff that can make it through a season? A&M did fine with its pitching staff. TN did too! Poor DVH!
What is crazy is that it takes a coaching change to get more nil money when the leaving coach could have recruited better had he been able to offer more money.
I lived in Aggieland for a year and a half and their fans are one of the many reasons I moved out of Texas. I have never seen a more arrogant fan base, that has accomplished NOTHING in any major sport for almost 100 years. When I told them I was a Razorback fan, they acted like I instantly was 50 I.Q. points dumber than they were. Bragging about literally nothing.

Either way, I was pulling for A&M to beat Tennessee last night. Just not a fan of that Tennessee baseball program. Arkansas football isn't going to improve until they hire a quality head coach. Kansas had probably the worst program in the country until they went out and hired a good coach. No sane person thinks Pittman should be in charge of running a program in the SEC.
No disagreeing BUT there's a HUGE difference in rebuilding Kansas in the Conference of Leftover Spares and rebuilding Arkansas in the SEC especially with UT & OU...

I have said for 10 years at least that the Petrino era is the last time we will have any sustained winning in our football program. Too many changes in the last decade that affected Arkansas negatively. We are a small state with average to poor HS football relative to all surrounding states. We have never and will never out-recruit OU, Texas, A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, Mizzou, and TN. Not to mention rest of the SEC except for Vandy. When Arkansas goes 7-5 or 6-6 and 3-5 or 4-4 in SEC, we better jump for joy because that is as good as it will ever get. And when I say ever, I mean for the next 50 years at least. Of course, there likely will not be any football by then so doesn't matter. Players are now mercenaries. They do not care about past Ark football tradition, or the fanbase, or the school. Just about what they can get out of it in way of cash, endorsements, and future professional play if that is possible.
