  • Mike Tindall, Alex Payne and Ben Kayser have left the comfort of the studio in favour of The Prince, in Fulham. They’re joined by one of their favourite podcast guests, Jack Nowell, who gives them the lowdown on his Cornish pub, going on tour with Exeter and his work with Red Bull. The boys also look back at the weekend that was on the pitch and look ahead to what could be; with very little help from Jack who hasn’t watched a single Autumn International.

    Ben Kaysar has a proper British sense of humour. Top bloke by the sounds of it.

    A live down here in Cornwall would be good, got a feeling that Jack might know of a decent establishment... Huge rugby following down here but we always seem to be forgotten about....

    Mike Tindall is a bit of a bellend when it comes to Ireland . Hes very bitter about something. You'd swear he was a sophisticated player the way he talks about rugby .

    It's a bit of a stretch to expect Jack to comment in depth on his relationship with Eddie. Although the quality in the back three has increased since he last played, there may still be a place for him in a future squad - why jeopardise that for a few cheap anecdotes? Likewise with the expectation to heap huge praise on Marcus Smith. Jack is training and playing with Joe Simmons and whilst I'm not saying for a second that JS should be in the Eng squad over Smith, Jack's apparent lack of enthusiasm could easily be down to him feeling respectful of his relationships in the club game. I also thought Alex was off his game on this one and no amount of affected 'ummmmmms' or tenuous segues were going to make it flow.

    As an Englishman living in Ireland and long-time fan, I'm disappointed and embarrassed by the disrespect being shown towards Ireland in the last two episodes!

      @Limey Turtle MT is entitled to his opinion though he is behind if you look at the Japan game. The issue is the game wasn't even mentioned in the previous team picking video and therefore neither was an Irish player considered. In this episode again Ireland were hardly mentioned even though they are showing form and playing the AB's next.

      @Limey Turtle 1) they speak about French, Welsh and Scottish rugby frequently. And often give far more airtime to SA than they do Ireland 2) off the ball is an irish channel, just like you wouldn't expect Rugby Union Weekly (bbc) to focus on Ireland - and they don't 3) 'Ireland fought a war to be free and independent' < you might be making a wee mistake with with your use of 'ireland' there, see if you can work out why this is silly re the Ireland rugby team
      Considering that Ireland in the past decade have been a rugby heavyweight and part of the Lions, it is really sad that GBR don't engage with them more. Tindall is allowed to have his opinion, but it annoys me when a fantastic performance isn't covered and the next week one of the biggest games on the rugby calendar in 2021 is barely referenced.

      @@mattmills419 Man they were choosing French players from a s**t game against Argentina and Italians who took 50 against the ABs and didn't even name an Irishman after blowing away Japan with excellent rugby - a Japan who caused Australia real problems a few weeks before. Totally relate to how you feel, really pissed me off.

    Just stop listening due to Tindall - lost a subscriber. Trying to be too cool Mr. Tindall - sounds like a broken record around Ireland it was funny at the start…..

    Love Jack as a player but he ain’t cut out for the media stuff is he… not that he’s bothered by the sounds of it. Payne was struggling at points there.

    • @ac2244
      @ac2244 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t blame him. Media are a bunch of deprecating cunts. If I was a player I would go out my way to make the media’s life as difficult as possible.

    Have Kayser replace Tindall on the regular show - Tindall is patently not funny, cannot communicate properly and comes across as a massive Immanuel Kant.
