Stunning performance. I enjoyed every second of this beautiful piece. Natalia Gutman is an outstanding cellist. The colors she brings to her lines and to the harmonic modulations are delicious.

Самая любимая виолончелистка. Наталью Григорьевну много слушала в концертных залах.

We have to beat it. Seriously not many people know about this concerto but as a cellist, it is absolutely my favorite all hands down.

This is up there with one of the greatest Cello concertos ever written. And how could you go wrong with Svetlanov holding the "stick". Probably the finest conductor Russia ever produced.

This is the soundtrack of all the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s movies.

Sadly this performance is ruined by the idiots in the audience coughing. For God's sake, if you've got a cough stay at home and don't ruin live music for everyone else!! Including me!!

David A its not every day that you can go see Natalia Gutman live. And its called live for a reason. If you dont want coughing listen to Rostropovich or Mischa studio versions, they are great too!

Cough adds to the natural beauty of live performance, it's the body reacting to the music just like medicine. A little cough won't spoil anything. 😑

@@cheenuns7275 I'm very surprised then that composers don't include in their scores "coughing" parts, especially in the pianissimo sections, to heighten the live performances of their compositions.
