Damn! This is AMAZING. You are GREAT with that de-mixing software and subsequent re-mixing. I'm a bit of an audiophile myself (retired electrical engineer) and was wondering what software tools and console you are using to do these stem separations? Are you on Pro Tools, or ? I would like to fiddle a bit with the technology on my own PC. I'm 70, been patiently waiting all my life for those horrible 3-track mixes of early Beatles to finally get redone...and now...I'm still alive to witness this sonic miracle!!! My favorite LP, Rubber Soul - is hopefully the next album for Giles to do the de-mix/re-mix treatment. In the meanwhile, can you please do a few from that LP that have not already been done in the recent 2-LP "best of" set? Thanks for your work. Incredible!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I think 'Rubber Soul' has the potential of being the greatest of the official remixes if done properly using the remixing practices of the 'Yellow Submarine Songtrack' as a guide. As for my remixes, the only songs remaining from 'Rubber Soul' that appeared on the 'Red' and 'Blue' albums that I haven't done are 'Michelle' and 'If I Needed Someone'. The 2023 official remixes in my opinion are fine but I would like to separate the 3-part harmony in 'If I Needed Someone'. For de-mixing I use a $70 version of RipX and for editing and remixing I use free open source Audacity. The 'nuts and bolts' of my remixes are already done by Giles Martin and his crew, I'm just shifting things around a bit and providing a deeper level of separation with pushing the gain on a few elements. Just doing it in a way that I've always wanted to hear these songs for a long time now as I'm 71 years of age myself. Thanks again for your comment and thanks for listening!
