All year people have been getting dqed for breathing on the hang bar in the last 30 seconds but in worlds you can walk all over it and the refs dont care, it screwed over a lot of teams.

During the last 30 seconds of the Match, Robots may not contact the following: The opposing Alliance’s Elevation Bars Opponent Robots who are contacting their Elevation Bars Opponent Robots who meet the definition of Elevated During the last 15 seconds of the Match, Robots may not contact: The Short Barriers adjacent to the opposing Alliance's Elevation Bars. Violation Notes: Regarding points “a” and “d”: If no opponent Robots are in the process of Elevating, then most incidental or momentary contact is unlikely to be Match Affecting, and should only be considered a Minor Violation. If an egregious Violation results in opponent Robot damage, or otherwise severely impedes an opponent’s Elevation, then it should be assumed that the Violation was Match Affecting if the opposing Alliance loses the Match by 20 points or less. It only comes into affect when the alliance is losing by up to 20 points, meaning it doesn’t actually make a difference until it’s match affecting. If it is, then yes, it’s a dq, but it doesn’t really tend to be unless its egregious.
It was a major, and refs really did nothing about it. We got drug away from the bar when we had our arm on the pole, but the refs didn't call it. This happened like three times too 😭
@@skootle3871 i think they determined somehow that whitescreens were not really a bug in the vex software but had to do with select faulty batteries or brains
The field tech told us it was a field fault and he thought he could get it to be a rerun, but the head refs disagreed based on the rule change which I think was a dumb decision for vex to make in the first place.

We didn’t make elims because we went from 4th to 25 because the matches we lost we got pulled off our hang

rules changed for worlds. Whitescreens no longer result in a match replay, idk why they did this tho bc its technically vex's fault for white screens.

The field tech told us it was a field fault and he thought he could get it to be a rerun, but the head refs disagreed based on the rule change which I think was a dumb decision for vex to make in the first place.
