Depth charge was an absolute badass, first, his name is epic, second, Dave solobov voices him, third, with his ginormous wings he can probably fly, and fourth, he turns into arguably the most badass looking animal in the ocean! How can you get more badass than that? Actually, please don't answer that, there are probably way too many ways to get more badass than that.
Depth Charge is such a cool character and I love that he looks screen accurate, the figure looks great, and I also love the fading effect with the paint and coloration. While Depth Charge wasn't a team player at first and only had his mission in sight, he came around and became even more a favorite character of mine!
I started looking back at the Beast Wars and Transformers RiD(2000) toys and they really impressed me. However, looking at the Unicron Trilogy, it really makes me question what Hasbro was doing.
My granpa bought me Transquito when i was younger. My friend broke him.. then i was at walmart with my granpa again and saw thus Depthcharge on sale for 10$ i begged him please. His reply "nope youll just let your friends break it.." i learned a lesson that day lol...
I had the Transformers Universe version of Depth Charge. That one had a different color scheme and they fixed the disk gimmick to where you didn't have to line up any notches and grooves. You could just toss them in and go.
honestly one of the best beast wars toys ever to come out i still have mine all original n the big plus is that its tv accurate cant get that with these new transformers...good review
@isuckatusernames4297 I like to think different, this new show earth spark figures aren't that accurate. Cyberverse wasn't that accurate either. Beast wars 2001 RID and even the unicron trilogies were pretty spot on.
@@alexanderoamador when earthsparks has deluxes that aren't cyberverse repaint, they're alright. rid 2015 was also surprisingly good on that front. the entierty of the studio series line is also pretty accurate as well. animated was spot on. also, ngl, the main reason for innacuracies is in general whether or not the toys are made ti reflect the show's design or if the designs are based on the toys.
It is nice to see that someone still does reviews for these older figures (which in my opinion are way better than anything Hasbro has released in the last few years). I hope you'll do more Beast Wars. It's interesting. Personally I'd like to see reviews of Tigerhawk and Transmetal 1 and 2 Megatron assuming you have them in your collection.

emgo you said the figure takes alot of self space but there is a fix for it because there's all that free space under Depthcharge you can just put your legends toys there so he can be a doll house for other dolls.
I have the later Universe release in the Boba Fett colors. And yes, they have acknowledged that's exactly what the color scheme is. When in Cruiser Mode, I arrange the joints to cant the wings sort of like / \. If \ / is your preference, that's cool too.
Can you really blame Depth Charge? He lost all of his friends to the sociopath known as Protoform X (later called Rampage) and had devoted his entire life to hunting him down all so he could get revenge for his fallen friends.

He WAS the king of back kibble for sure. Mine didn't have the name printed on him and I'd lost all the paperwork so I could never remember his name. At some point I just took to calling him Steve to make things simpler...
I found a KO of him in Spain, and he didn't come with his tail... So he's always falling in my bootleg shelf... I love back kibble XD But the official version looks great :D

At least the jet mode is show accurate, watch season 3 of "Transformers: Beast Wars" Depth Charge does transform to the jet mode and fly.
