Yo Exercism, honestly I am amazed to the fact that Exercism is free and available for all. Operating such colossal platform with tons of educational exercises spanning from a myriad of programming languages and having a delicate website is definitely going to cost a fortune. I'd love to donate but unfortunately my homeland does not have good rates when exchange to USD or GBP. Moreover, the wages here are just terrible. However, I will donate in the near future when I am in a better financial position to do so! May god bless each and everyone of the wonderful individuals in Exercism and be able to overcome the financial hardship soon.

Hi, I've been supporting Exercism on and off and now decided to make it more regular, seeing (or rather hearing) how fragile your organisation's financial standing is. I have a question - is there a status page where you can let us know how well are the fundraising efforts going? For me, this might be a factor in deciding whether to keep my donation at the same level or perhaps raise it.
It's something we'll be adding in the next week or so, yes. It'll be at exercism.org/donate. Most of the rest of this month for me is focussed on getting this right and clear, starting speaking to orgs about sponsoring us (we have a new campaign planned for this) and launching Insiders. Maybe this is an awkward question, but I didn't hear it addressed - have folks considered making Exercism a leaner operation? Design and other changes in recent years are fantastic, but I wonder if the goals "make the best platform possible" and "keep the platform free" are in fundamental tension with one another. I have donated but I'm a little skeptical that funding will be sustainable with 5+ full-time staff. I don't remember funding concerns when the project has more basic goals and support years ago.
i've only recently started using your website for learning, it's insane that it's free and it's such a good tool for learning that we are lucky to have, when i can donate, i will.

I'm curious: Why do you want an exercism mobile app? I assume you're coding on a laptop/PC, because typing and reading code on mobile is quite horrible in my experience. So what is it, that you want to be able to do on your phone?
