In order for this to work on other platforms it relies on the iCloud servers which need money to run. It’s worth it tho especially since you can get it for only a dollar a month for one of the plans
You would send this if you are hosting something like a party. You wouldn't send invitations to a party though the calendar app unless you are close with that person.
I don’t know if you guys see it, but apple’s two latest apps (Final Cut Camera and now Invites) look like they have a UI inspired the Vision Pro’s UI. Im likely overthinking, but perhaps a sign?
Yeah, the Mac still has the usual UI style we know. To be fair though, macOS has always stated behind in the design. iOS got the flat treatment in 2013, macOS in 2014 iOS got round in 2018, macOS in 2020 Let’s see where this goes.
I think that after accepting the invitation it should create like a QR code to be presented at the entrance of the event that will really make it useful
Whilst watching your video I downloaded it and it looks really useful and inviting specially for people with lots of social and commercial connections and activities! Thank you Aaron!
0:14, After downloading the app to my iPhone 16 Pro Max, I was able to see the app on my iPad. I haven’t try it to see if the app work or not, but I believe it should be downloaded automatically to the iPad once you download it to your iPhone.
I love it for a zoomed in version of my events. I like my calendar to do my month view and year. I search my calendar for past events and this for the specifics and photos and documents I may need plus the weather and location are great for daily and pre planning. Clutch!
But it has a catch. The other person you are sharing with has to turn off App & Website Activity in Screen Time settings. Also Android users will not get background image created in that invite. It just a black random solid color.
Everything works fine with the app until I get to the point where I try to invite others to the group. Simply put, it doesn’t give me that option. I’m not sure why. Greetings from Germany!
What’s the difference between sending a group text message with an invitation vs the invite app? Is the app created to pay .99 cents to create an invitation only, because as far as I know a group text message is more than enough and saving me .99 cents.
I can’t think of why I’d need this. With work you invite people to a teams or zoom meeting. And maybe once a year I might invite people out for a drink for my birthday. Maybe I’m just too old.
Hell yeah! More innovation blasting through! So awesome! Apple pushing the bar higher with this insane app!!!! I can’t imagine Apple getting any better!
If I've been invited to an invent i most likely dont want to have to go to website and I sure as heck wont be validating my email ! I'm sure this will be very popular with scammers though.
@ i know. it’s still a nice way to showcase iOS features to android users. once they get used to clean UI of iOS etc… and social acceptance, iOS would be a smooth transition.
@@Therealsos-y5t it is free and does not require a subscription. It only requires that to create an invite, but not use it or receive an invite. Also, most people have iCloud+ anyway
This should actually just be an update for calendar, but Apple is trying to make money on subscriptions, I think they need to cut back on the DEI and focus more on good talented qualified people
Why do I need this app if the Calendar app does the same thing. This seems like something that should be integrated into the Calendar app. I don’t want more apps to run my life, I want fewer. Dumb Apple engineers trying to shove crap down our throats again.
I’ll be completely honest here, I don’t give a crap about Apple invites. I want Apple to work on the joke of an iOS they released and actually make Apple intelligence and Siri intelligent. Doing it the “Apple way” is no longer standing true
sounds like a Calandar update that Cook is trying to turn into an iCloud+ subscription
like google calendar.
yes, he needs to milk more money
Let him Cook!

And don’t run outta iCloud storage (like me) because you won’t even be able to use Invites. I just tried.
Classic Apple
What is the difference between this and a calendar invite? Feels kinda useless!
it's completely useless.
very different from a calendar invite. it’s more like a Partiful alternative for events/hosting
You would send this if you are hosting something like a party. You wouldn't send invitations to a party though the calendar app unless you are close with that person.
Everyone with an invitation can collaborate and share photos of an event, this is VERY useful. Y’all need to read 😂

7:50 IOS 19 will have the best redesign
Yes it’s available in Ipad too because I got the app in both devices, but I share the app from mi IPhone to my Apad.
In full screen mode?
This "Hi" is killing me!

this would be nice if it was for free, i already paid for the iphone why do i need to subscribe
maybe it will become free in the future… theirs literally other free alternatives and services you can host and give invites
Do you not have iCloud? If so you don’t have to pay for this. No difference than Google Cloud or storage.
Honestly, would you ever even use this app? It looks bloated and useless

I’m glad it links to Android as well. Will be very helpful for me. Thanks Aaron
Thanks for the detailed sharing. Blessings on your day.
Great video Aaron ❤😊
Yes I really appreciate all your hard work putting together these videos for all us each n every single day
Hi, Aaron. I just downloaded the Invites app on my iPhone XR
Why need a separate app? This is like the passwords app that used to be a section in settings.
But it has a catch. The other person you are sharing with has to turn off App & Website Activity in Screen Time settings. Also Android users will not get background image created in that invite. It just a black random solid color.
It would be nice to have versus having group chat… you know… every second of everyday before during and after the event. It can be overwhelming.
0:21 it’s actually working on my iPad 😅
Full screen though??
@ nope but this doesn’t mean you can’t use it it still works and you can’t do all the same stuff you do on iPhone on the iPad as well
Me too
@@samuelgauthier81 but not full screen right

hello aaron, I have a question, when do you think ios 18.4 beta 1 will be released?
Any day
Ok thank you for your reply
That is very good job. Very proud of you.
It only works if you have iCloud +
No, it works. If you don’t have iCloud+, you just can’t create an invitation without it, but most people already have iCloud+.
Can we send these to our poor friends on android?
My iphone 16 screen started with purple flickering, Anyone any idea why he does that

It’s on the iPad it just isn’t optimized for it
The problem is that you can see the email address of the users who are invited.

No, and most people already have an iCloud+ account for extra storage so it’s going to be a free thing for most people

Just an improved calendar app
