    Wow! Oh Wow! I can have a companion to my Mysa Wrap! This shawl needs beads, yes beads!!! I have 1 shawl to make for my nephew and I'm using the Mantlemist pattern. Then the Mysa. I finished the Creery sweater and it turned out perfect, except I decided to soak and block. After I soaked and squeezed (gently), the sweater was 2x as wide. I'm so sad. It falls off my shoulders now. But then I can make a new 1! Yay!!! Have a beautiful day! Thank you for making my days beautiful!!! Got the Chestnuts yarn yesterday, beautiful!!!

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you're liking Lato! I'm so sorry to hear that the Creery Sweater grew on you while blocking. When using superwash wool it's important not to stretch it too much because it has the tendency to grow. I'd recommend steam blocking your next superwash garment or dry blocking (here is the tutorial on that: th-cam.com/video/kswT-Dxaq8o/w-d-xo.html).
      Hope this is helpful! 💕

    Beautiful! I'm thinking of making 2 wider but shorter sections and make is as a poncho just by sewing both pieces either vertically or horizontally. Still deciding which will look better!

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great idea! For making it wider please remember that your multiples have to match up for both stitch patterns (meaning 3+7 and 16+5 have to yield in the same number). The next one up is 229 chains which will result in a width of about 34".
      I hope this is helpful and not more confusing! 💕

    Lovely pattern! I can feel the wind flowing around me! May I ask, what hook are you using? I like that length. Thanks for sharing this pattern.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sample used 2 hooks: US size D (3.25 mm) for the edges & US size E (3.5 mm) for the body of the shawl.
      I hope this answers your question! 💕

    • @annoir

      @@ExpressionFiberArts Thanks dear! I actually meant what brand?

  • @janicpanny
    @janicpanny ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Gorgeous! If I wanted to reduce the width to more of a scarf size, the multiple of 16 + 5 and the multiple of 3 + 7 would need to match, correct? I think 5 repeats of the waves pattern would work since it would correspond with 26 repeats of the V pattern.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes, you're correct both multiples have to match. And yes you can do 85 chains instead of 133, which will result in 5 wave repeats and 26 in v pattern. Your math is perfect. 💕
