My daughter is 11 and in 5 th grade. Shes excited ,She’s about to start track but I’m a bit disappointed in the middle school track and field sports here in Massachusetts , they definitely don’t take it serious. I grew up in South Africa and they were way more serious about their track and field sports starting in elementary school. My daughter couldn’t do long jump in try outs now cause the school has no long jump pit 🤦🏽♀️. Not sure how they are gonna practice it for the meets. So ridiculous.
