I love these locks. I take them with me an pick them when i get bored. I use the security pins in these to build my challenge locks with the ace rim cylinder locks because i have tons of them

That lock looks a lot like a brinks padlock right down to the wafer with the notch. Also, all of my brinks locks have a serrated gate keeper in the number 2 position with serrated spools in the other 4 or 5. I wouldn't be surprised by the look and the way it picked if it was constructed by Brinks or the same company who make brinks.

I bought one of those to practice on. Cost was about $17. I'm a heavy handed novice, so you can imagine the troubles I'm having. Not likely in this lifetime. It's a paper weight. But I'll keep pounding away at it when I want to feel frustration. Thanks,Bill!

I've only been into the sport for a couple of months. I put about 90 minutes into one of these over the last couple of weeks and it opened two evenings ago. I was surprised it wasn't completely obvious I had an open because there's some force required to turn it. I think it was really practice on easier locks that got me there.

I’m in my second week of the hobby. Purchased one of these today to practice on as well thinking it would be an easy pick and then just return it. I was wrong, its a tough little lock for sure! Got extremely lucky and fell into a false set and managed to open it 10 minutes later. Several hours later I’m pulling my hair out 😂. Its a keeper 👍

As fate would have it, someone picked open the Master lock on my storage unit and got in. Seems nothing was taken but the lock has to be replaced. This looks like what I might go get.

For some reason ace locks are some of the hardest for me to pick. I could literally get 100 master locks picked multiple times before I get lucky and do an ace once

anyone happen to know what's inside an Ace shrouded padlock #5202882? Definitely feels like some serrated pins. Also is this models core removable?
