You should checkout the Bose Virtual Imaging Array if you haven't already. It was sold in Japan. It was similar to the Acoustic Wave Music System. It featured a MD and CD player. It would have been awesome if it was available in the US

Got one from ebay, thing is surprisingly loud and it's so pretty to listen to.

It's plenty loud enough for me but I don't like my music very loud anyway so it's hard to guess how it might seem for anyone else.

I have an original one back in 1994 and should have never sold it.. I got a used one off eBay that has a bad amplifier hum and the CD player won't work

I have one of these. The CD Player doesn't work. Where can I get it tepaired?

Good morning and Merry Christmas. These can be repaired by replacing the complete cd reader which can be purchased from ebay. Just make sure you get the model number/designation correct. I have an old CD-3000 model which has a different cd reader the later Acoustic Wave 2.
As I say cd readers can be bought as well as remote controls.
