The last dancer I enjoyed watching as much as CGSchmitt was the late, extraordinary Jason Colacino... Same level of effortless skill here. Same graceful, almost chivalrous confident presence. If anything, Jason was perhaps a bit more relaxed - in a good way - in his final appearances... All I will say to Charles-Guillaume is: Godspeed! Bonne chance! You have an excellent partner in ES. Please take superb care of your health, so we can enjoy your artistry for decades to come!
Right? My words. And yet Charles makes it seem so ...effortless. Though from my own years of experience I know the more effortless it appears the more control and sheer power there is in the background. Marcus and Karen Hilton always said that.
From what I saw in the finals, as far as technical perfection is concerned, Charles and Elena were one level above them all. There need to be six couples in the finals, sure, but in respect of technicality they are not there with Charles and Elena. Brvi. I have been watching them for a long time and they are one of the most technical couples ever. When Charles was very young, he preferred the "fast as lightning" style. And it suited him well. I am glad he grew into a man of great technical precision. In my eyes, technical precision beats all.
