currently own like 1 of those and it's light and beat in but I'll work on getting my hands on em to compare! ...I think I'm going to need to find a retail sponsor so I don't blow all my money on discs!!!! lol
I really really like the disc compare and contrast rounds you've been doing. So very much better than just somebody throwing them each in a field. A whole round just tells us so much more
@@BodanzaDiscGolf make sure to get a Fission. Fission is very workable and will hold any line you put it on. I use a 167g, which the equivalent of a 177g normal Hex, at least according to MVP.
@@BodanzaDiscGolf have a hex, love the hex, straight flight but for me personally not as much fade as you want at the end. I only use it for super straight tunnel shots under 320 ft. I can still get my Cryztal Buzzz to fly further though.
For a "super straight" disc even though its a putter you need to definitely try the "Habit" by Plastic Addicts, it is 100% the straightest disc I have ever thrown. With the amount of glide on it you can still throw it a good amount of distance even though its technically a putter
Glad you checked out the mind bender as I was a commenter about it on your last video. all that wind it must have been hard to see which was the straightest.
Lat 64 Opto Compass is my go-to strait and shapeable mid range. Way less touchy than a Mako3 or BuZZZ SS. I bag a MD1 as well as it can handle a little bit more power and torque than my Compass
I’ve had the same swirly star Mako3 in my bag for the last 3 years but the Mind Bender just kicked it out. The metal flake C-Line plastic feels great and the slight bit of extra glide puts the Mind Bender above the Mako3 for me
The mind bender is the straitest disc I have ever thrown! Too bad they will be next to impossible to get without paying a ton of money!!! Great video though!!
I've started putting with an infinite disc cohort for this exact effect. Also recently played a comp with a guy who putted with a comet and he was getting perfect straight glide for long range putts.
I've only been disc golfing for about 2 years now, but the Mako3 was one of my first discs, and I've since switched over to a bit of a Prodigy fanboy. But that said, I recently was gifted a Buzz from a friend so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've only thrown it for like 3 or 4 rounds, but I just don't like it, I think it's overhyped. My go to straight mid is currently the MX-3 or M4 (I didn't buy a brand new MX-3 so idk if they're straight flyers out of the box, but M4 definitely is!)
I enjoy the disc comparisons. Perhaps the next step beyond “which is the straightest/flippiest/longest/best of these 3 similar discs” is talking about shot selection or handling with 2 or 3 discs of the same class but with different flight profiles (e.g. fuse vs pyro vs buzz). Throw different lines depending on what the disc needs in the circumstances.
I warms my heart that you mentioned the Opto Claymore. It's a great disc. Mine was lighter than I wanted, but have been throwing a Lizottle Hex in this spot. I always feel guilty for having my Claymore in the closet
I have only thrown an ESP meteor but I'd say it's more similar to the mako3 than the buzzz, but is flipper than the champ mako3, maybe more similar to a star, but the z meteor could be similar to the champ mako3
Okay sorry but I accidentally deleted my comment on your newest video but I seen some of your reply in bubble a little bit before I did so went back to watch this video and yes that Mindbender is pretty dang great. I actually did watch this video when You released it I just forgot lol
Hey this is Pulaski park in East Chicago/Hammond? I'm like 15 minutes away from here.... Some fun courses in the area are Rivers Edge in Munster, Lake Hills in Schereville (long tees), and Hidden Lake in Merriville (24 holes)
this was that course! I was in town for a day and got to play it! I played a tournament at hidden lake on the way in to chicago but am in cleveland now!
You obviously don't have to make yourself choose the disk that wins on paper. There are always factors that can't be seen that affect your decision on whether to bag something or not.
Because I only have so much money and time right now lol! Going to compare the hex at least as well, pathfinder maybe but Apollo disc golf just did this video!!
Want to trade that Mind bender for another one? I collect green discs with blue foil, I have a Yellow with Silver stamp, with the MVP open champion stamped on the back :D
@@BodanzaDiscGolf will be more similar to those two. It seems to have more glide than than my ss. But not as flippy. Super straight flier with consistent fade at the end.
The buzzz ss is my favorite mid. Super clean release and a beautifully slow turning disc. Let’s see a firebird vs raptor vs felon comparison
currently own like 1 of those and it's light and beat in but I'll work on getting my hands on em to compare! ...I think I'm going to need to find a retail sponsor so I don't blow all my money on discs!!!! lol
Add a lat 64 pioneer to that mix
Clash Discs Berry has taken the straight midrange spot in my bag and I'm loving it!
Absolutely fallen in love with this channel in the last couple weeks. Grade A material, mate, thanks for entertaining. 👌
Glad you enjoy it!
I'll throw my chips in for the pathfinder by thoughtspace. absolutely love that disc and it doesn't get enough attention.
I really really like the disc compare and contrast rounds you've been doing. So very much better than just somebody throwing them each in a field. A whole round just tells us so much more
ayyy here's the mind bender video! the content just keeps getting cleaner and cleaner and better and better man. Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
Your "caffeinated" style (for lack of a better term) is really fun- enjoying the videos.
Fission Hex is straighter and flies further than the Buzzz SS we have. I do want to try a Mind Bender some day but don't have need right now.
Totally fair! Want to check out the hex for sure

Mako3 goes where you throw it, helps correct my release angle. top 15 disc for me

if you put extra spin on Mako3 like Wysoki does it will fly TRUE to the numbers 100%

I just bought a big z meteor and a mind bender love them both the mind bender has some fade at the end for me anyway. Great video 👍

I'd love to see a Crave vs FD vs TL review!
I second that. I bag a TL and a crave. Love them both despite being so similar. I find myself reaching for the crave more tho
I'll try to snag those and make it happen!
The mind bender is the straitest disc I have ever thrown! Too bad they will be next to impossible to get without paying a ton of money!!! Great video though!!
They’re available everywhere. I’ve gotten like 8 of them
I have a lot of mids and absolutely love the Mind Bender, I have two.
I like my Buzz SS but I've never thrown the other two. Great video love the energy.
thank you!
Anthony, curious what you think about the Mint Freetail. Understable 10 speed driver. I like it a lot.
im a max weight star mako3 user so im bias but this was great to watch. my bag is going to increase because of this. i love mids~
I’m bagging the mindbender and the buzz, but definitely like the mindebender better. On another note, where did you get your hat?
The Mind Bender is a near exact replica of the Mako3, and the differences between the two can pretty much be chalked up to cooling inconsistencies
Fun channel. I recently played with the midnight prowl 2 and she’s a beast, hyzer to flat. What kind of camera do you use?
After those back to back jump putts maybe you should use a mid for out of circle looks!!
I've started putting with an infinite disc cohort for this exact effect.
Also recently played a comp with a guy who putted with a comet and he was getting perfect straight glide for long range putts.
Thanks! The buzz ss is in my bag but feel makes me not take it when I should. Guess I try the mind bender
You won't regret it!
Can u put the lines on ur videos so we can see flights better?
FWIW Mako3 feels way better in max-weight star/halo star
10k soon
I’d pick the mako3 for sure
"Ball don't scoreboard baby" - we need merch
Love your stuff man. Just really wish you’d have waited for a less windy day to compare these discs 🤷🏻♂️

solid idea!
I bag a big z buzzz, opto fuse, and opto claymore as my mid range discs. I guess I need to try out the mind bender.

@@floovenspunkerthe claymore is underrated for sure. I never hear people mention it when talking about mids.
How would a z meteor compare to the champion mako3 or esp buzzz ss?

Man I was parking the holes at Frog Rock today with the z meteor.
First time viewer + new subscriber. You ever throw an MVP relay? Probably my favorite disc as of late!
Thanks for the sub! I threw it since I got it from pdga, hated it personally, but might give it another shot eventually!
Fair LOL

The best!
Personally I’d say the hex is the best straight flying mid range, you should try that one next
I love my hex, but the Mind Bender is more point and shoot. The Hex has a little bit of fade at the end. Mind Bender > Hex > Buzz SS > Mako3 IMO.

Im looking for a Hex vs. Mindbaneder... I simply cannot chose and would like for someone who has "broken them in" to make "down the line"-comparison
interesting! not sure if there's enough time to break them in since both are such nice plastics but I'd love to compare them at least!
The buzzz is the #1 midrange of all time .
This was a fun video

Which grip do you guys use for your mind benders
Power grip personally everything for me
Love my mind bender!
Buzz v Pathfinder v Hex PLEASE
Can we get a “Ball Don’t Scoreboard” TShirt made??? 😂
I like my md3 personally but my mako 3 is growing on me
why not hex? and pathfinder...

Kaxe Z!
it is just latitude plastic. its the exact same thing as the new clear lucid plastic.
I just don't like your sighs when you throw haha. Idk why but other than that great vid!
Excellent material. Id love to see you get into some gyro. Try a MVP Reactor or Axiom Hex. You wont be dissapointed.
It's funny cuz I know I'm one of those comments LOL

San Marino Makos were the best ever made.... original mako. Not the mako 3
CrZtyal Z BuZZZ
Not BuZZZ ss

Ball don’t scoreboard…..😂
You might be releasing it flat but they’re stable disc… you’re putting a lot of torque on them so they’re just turning over
