- While on anchor at Lady's Island, SC a Tornado Watch was issued for the area. We battened down the hatches and hunkered down. Also, burger night at the filling station was a big hit and the super bowl party was so much fun!

I am amazed at how little work you have done to fix your boat.
They had to get out of the north before winter hit. Worked on it to get it good enough to motor down the ICW. Well, sort of. WIng and a prayer works sometimes.

@@BlueMooseTraveler, I believe that we will get to see it in the not too distant future. Trev seems to be back online and posting catch-up videos. Seeing how far they went prior to flatlining for a while I bet it looks about the same. Maybe Trev has put some more work into it?
@@marineman2298 it will be interesting to see for sure. I know personally, I couldn't do the half painted cabin thing. But we really do not know their financial situation when it comes to the extras... hopefully he is doing good and not letting the break up get in his way. Look forward to getting caught up.

Back in the 80s and 90s I had a boat similar to yours in Key Largo. It was a much modified 30' Wharram with a deck house. It was the most fun boat I have ever owned and was perfect for the Keys. We ran that thing repeatedly from Lauderdale to Miami Marathon and everywhere in between. And we did it with a 16 hp Suzuki and a sail rig we got off an old Tornado beach cat.

If you’re going to continue using that method for the anchor rode, start the initial turn around the cleat from the inboard side. If the line pops out of the bow roller the way you had it, which it likely will as the rode shifts around at anchor, you might end up with a foul cleat and difficulty getting it off again.

Another great video. I have lived on my boat for about 8 years now. Heavy weather never gets easy. I have some very large anchor tackle which does reduce some of the stress. The lightning won't hurt you as long as you are inside, but it plays havoc with your electronics. I am just now replacing electronics for the 3rd time due to lightning. Not once did it directly hit the boat, usually it hit trees on land but it was close enough to still do damage.

You really need to put some work into that boat of urs my lad .. you got lucky in that storm, leaks, weak motor, ropes needing renewal , I know it all costs but safety on a boat is no 1 priority ... nevertheless in terms of ur vids u r really improving and a good 20 min vid at least gives the watcher a good perspective .. keep up the good work you are really doing well

@@9to5less You will need to litterally make solar roof above your boat XD.
@@9to5less a lot of folks do that as well as sail so they always have some kinda power to move. You might need an awful lot of batteries to keep it going on electrics all the time!
Very true. I think I’ll keep the gas motor on too as that thing is a champ. But will use electric for as much as I can. Maybe for just hopping from island to island and let it charge up in between.

Electrical tape has to be stretched in order to seal properly . The only thing I found it good for is wiring .

Is that what is behind the big blue blanket 🙊 I mean on days when you can't get ashore and well we all know you were a couple but when its time for all those bowls of grits to come out', done in those close quarters, on a Portapottie behind a curtain, it would have tested even the strongest of relationships..🤪🤣

Haha, I had wondered, when you been stuck at an anchorage for more than a day.....composing toilets are supposed to be great ..in tiny houses n van conversions, so I don't see how it wouldn't work on your boat..

Right?! That’s what I was thinking and it proved to work better than we could’ve ever imagined. Cedar chips seemed to work the best.
Tape some string on the hole the water should follow the string down to the pot instead of dripping any where.

You should buy a proper door that can seal. In case there is any more tornado's or any more hard rain. Where is the final destination. In till you start doing some renovations to the boat. Loving your videos can't wait to see the next one 👍🍾

You cant expect it to keep going in that state. There is still that split to fix on one side (where the top and bottom of the boat meet)
I agree. The leaks and the "door" fall into the category of "any fool can be uncomfortable."
He was going to travel for a bit after he got to Florida ... Then start boat work again ... Just remember these vids are from February Superbowl time ... They broke up ... He needed time for that then he had to edit her out of all vids somewhat which all takes time ... He should be starting to film boat projects soon but getting down to Florida without a mast is having to basically go through the back roads to get there ... It takes way longer than it should ... He's probably got 8months of footage waiting to get edited ...

Sailing uma, die waren een paar weken terug nog hier in Nederland.
Wat betreft je zeilboot project, ik vind het wel erg jammer. Toen je het idee op de fb pagina deelde vond ik het heel interessant en keek er toen al erg naar uit om het resultaat te zien.
