Karl, I'm really amazed at all the time and work you put into your leather works. Being blind I'm sure you have learned the fine art of having patients as well as going through trial and errors. Perhaps one day you will create a book of your experiences for those who have to deal with such handicap issues and really need helpful lessons. Keep up the fine work.

Hello Jim, Thank you for watching. This is a real trying time for me that I am trying to make sure that everything that I do will come out just right. As far as writing a book though, I just don't know if I have the will to do just that. Leather is what I know best and even now I am still learning. Thanks again for watching, Karl.

Hi Karl, Understandable that this is a trying time for you. Perhaps some time in the future you might want to reconsider an audio book.
Letting others know what makes this trying for you and how specifically you are able to cope and overcome such challenges, both physically and mentally could help encourage others who are just experiencing what you have, for their vary first time.
Perhaps simply keeping audio notes every now over a period of time could prove to be a valuable asset for a future book series.
Just keep in mind that once a great book or even a series of short great books are created, they may create repeated income for you without having to do much more than keep the advertising going. That's very different than having to physically make a new product every time in order to make a sale. Any products that can produce residual income like books or music and such may prove helpful for future repeat incomes.
How you decided on leather works and overcame each challenge, and what you have tried in the past and decided against and why can be very inspiring for those who have just lost their own eyesight. I assume you must also use your past eyesight memories to help you envision everyday tasks, including your leather works. How your other senses of touch and hearing and smell have possible increased and which ones have increased the most or are of the most valuable to you. Those may be interesting topics in themselves. Such personal perspective learned can help inspire others.
Also there are a number of musical instruments that can be played by ear. What, if any, have you tried or really embellished and are the easiest for you, could be another interesting topic for a book.
What you have been able to do with leather is simply amazing. Stay safe, keep up the good work and good attitude. Don't be afraid to branch out into all the avenues you are passionate about whenever possible.
And don't forget to vote early if possible. Every individual's vote matters.
      Jim

I absolutely LOVE that lace die that you made. It cut beautiful, thin leather lace. Totally worth the investment. I was on the edge of my seat when you were about to cut the croc for the tri-fold wallet! You had that little hole and I was like, "NO! There's a hole there!" But then you saw it with your hands and repositioned it and I breathed a sigh of relief! haha. I love the look of Ostrich leather and yours is such a pretty sea foam green color! I only saw it in real life once. When I was young, my uncle had the most beautiful leather shoes on once, and he told me they were Ostrich. I had no idea people made shoes out of Ostrich. He was a pimp back in those days and he loved to dress flashy. I kinda wish this was a longer vid. I would love to see you make the actual wallets! I bet they're gorgeous. Wow - the elephant skin is a new one for me to see. I can't imagine what these wallets must cost with such exotic skins. What do you do with your scraps? Do you piece them together and make franken leather for multi-leather wallets??? That might be awesome for people who can only afford a little bit of this and a little bit of that. :D j/k - Anyway - I love your huge machine - cuts like butter. It looks like you are passionate about your work and have a lot of fun.

      Hello, this is Karl.
Thank you for watching the video, and your right. I do love and enjoy what I am doing. My machine is really the best tool that I have as far as helping me start and to complete most of my projects. As far as most of my wallets, hopefully, they are within reason when it comes to the cost. If you would like to have a certain wallet made for you, just e-mail me on my web site and let's make a wallet . As far as putting a lot of different leathers together, just haven't tried it yet. That may be a future project. Thanks again for watching.
