- Australia held their nerve against South Africa to qualify for their 8th ODI Cricket World Cup Final. It was heart break again for South Africa, who rebuilt after a horror start to set a total of 212.
Australia responded in a hurry, but were held back by the South African spinners. It eventually fell to Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc who stayed composed and steered the Australia team to the World Cup Final where they will play India.

Do tou think Bavuma should have kept himself out (he himself stated that he was not 100% fit) and brought Hendricks in, probably pushing Miller up the order?
england revolutionized white ball cricket they said, and here we are
Hi guys, with India on verge of WC defeat in final to Aus, can the cricketing podcast universe get some perspective please? All I've heard for over a month is : India are so shit hot, they are the best ever, they are a juggernaut, they are the bee's knees, let's all bow down to their greatness blah blah blah. Oh, but now they are going to lose - what do we say now? Please let's all drop the hype and get a reality check. Thank you.
Will you be discussing the Henry Nicholls ball tampering incident and the New Zealand cricket verdict? Seems like a distinct lack of international scrutiny.
I think honestly in the knockout stage any team can win on the day, so it's a little unpredictable. As an Indian cricket fan, I would personally not like all these ups and downs and last minute suspense. If we could wrap it up by lunch my cardio health will be very grateful.
What happened to SA here is what happened to india in 2019 semifinal, they both played a style of cricket until semis and then suddenly the external conditions really favoured the other side and the half chances all went aus way.
You gentlemen are surprisingly neutral on the South African personnel selection (I.e bavuma captaincy and inclusion in the game day squad)
or else they would be called the R word...
And the rightfully so - two guys from England who hop onto piling onto the South African team for a WC is not a good look.
Bavuma has been one of their best bats across formats save this World Cup, and people love to ignore that for their own ends.
@@hp5732is it fair to reply to that with the following? : most talented players focus on IPL (and other T20 money makers) during bilaterals and qualifiers so an average player will flatter to deceive?
Also bavuma’s achievements to date, compared to other players on the team, does not warrant making him captain?
@@carlmalone8472 agreed, that is a fair reply.
Many people I see here and mainly Indian fans come after the transformation system by attacking Bavuma, hence my general mistrust.
Such an amazing pod and analysis. Gave all the due credit to Aussies and broke down the match and run chase. Also good analysis of Bhevuma's captaincy. He did best with the resources and limited runs he had for defence.
Rohit won 5 ipl title, they know how to handle pressure.. Player like Ashwin is not even in playing 11,Rikku Singh could not even make it to team. Meanwhile Aus doesn't have replacement for 3 to 4 non-performing players.
Emotionally we can make arguments for Australia based on record made by different aus team, logically speaking they don't have chance against India. Looking at current indian team, They are number one team in all format for reason.
During 2019 India had an minor edge others and lost a knock out. But current Indian team has grand Canyon level gap between others, they can drop few catches and still win with big margin.
90% it will be a one sided game for India.
We want Ashwin in place of Siraj😂
We want lord 😅
Oh, curb you enthusiasm. :)
They crawled their way into the final. Not convincing at all. Batting looks very bleak. 😀😀🤦🤦
They did better than the Poms mate 👍
Crawl their way by winning 😂 now sit back and watch them lift the trophy.... Yeah all the other teams are so convincing right? 😂
@@kosan2875 yeah. We all will see what happens in the final. Australia no chance against Indian spinners. It's going to be struggle all the way like the first league match which they crawled to a mere 200 score.😀😀🤦🤦🤦
The pitch was difficult.
I personally think pitch was okay to bat..and what we saw was just nerves..
SA top order scoring so good in the tournament that they crumbled under the pressure of expectations (I'm afraid the same might happen to india in final).
But, i've my trust in Rohit to be the hitman on the day it matters.
Bunsen burners on the Ahmedabad pitch on Sunday and Ashwin to play. 👀🌚
So, you are telling me, that there is no crying about this pitch and it produced a close match. So, we can have a similar pitch for the finals. Ash in for Siraj on a rank turner.😂😂😂😂
ICC pitch consultant should be looked after. 😂😂😂😂
Giving crucial two wickets to Travis Head is exactly the chocking.
India has yet to have a bad day in this tournament. Hopefully not this Sunday😅
Oh they will trust me. Australia is winning easily 😂
