Damn I hate how quite these cars are compared to old G's and the vq37, love the performance but I have a custom 2.5 inch catback with an x pipe and no mufflers or resonaters, and hate how quite it is, going fully catless but even at that its still quiter than a muffler delete g35 or older q50, also no pops or bangs of any sort, love the car, love the performance but hate the sound. for a 400 horsepower car no good
Relatable... I had a 14 q50s with stillen exhaust, was really not thrilled by it... I switched to a 14Q60s with only 10k on it... now running fast intentions test pipes, straight axlebacks no resonators...stillen gen 3s... can hear that thing from a mile away and I get so many complements on it compared to the newer infinitis... they lost their sound with the new HR motors
Brian Gibson very noticeable at around 2800 but other than that, the drone isn't bad. Infiniti is releasing a new one with mufflers in Feb so I might wait to see what that sounds like.
I drove in one with these muffler deletes and if you prefer a more mild & subtle aftermarket exhaust then you should probably look at either the Tanabe Medalion Touring, HKS or Stillen exhaust. They all include high-flow mufflers so they aren't as loud & aggressive as these muffler deletes but they're definitely louder & deeper than the stock exhaust which is very quiet & bland.
