Guys, the 3rd umpire first took the support of technology like, slow motion and zoom. The evidence was clearly there though you can argue for a million years. Everyone has his own opinion to argue. As it was a crucial moment of the match the 3rd umpire with with unbias stand took further support of technology; snikometer. It was always great to take a second assessment. As snikometer could not prove the spike that does not mean the first assessment has to be overruled. The 3rd umpire with his wisdom given the call. This not the end of the world. You shohld uphold the spirit of the game. You should respect the wisdom of the 3rd umpire and ICC Elite Pannel's experience.

There are three technologies used in cricket. Hawkeye or ball tracking, snickometer and hotspot. Generally you need either hotspot or snickometer or both to confirm if ball touched the bat or gloves. BCCI does not allow usage of hotspot because it’s an expensive technology for the broadcasters so umpires had only snickometer at their disposal. Since the ball deflected in a way that cannot be seen just as natural swing thru the air, batsman was given out based on this strong evidence. Indian fans should direct their anger at BCCI instead of the umpire for not allowing hotspot in this series.

It wasn’t a major deflection for sure as the on field umpire ruled it not out. When there was no deviation off the snicko, then I guess it should have been given not out. But there were other issues to be addressed, this wasn’t the only reason for defeat.

Sharma was never a test player. Although he had good stats uptill last year but his perfomance outside asia was below avg in tests. Sharma debuted in test in 2016 only due to kohli because he was captain or friendship maybe. About kohli he should be dropped from test, should not retire. Kohli should let his ego aside and play domestic like sachin and dravid to get form back. KL rahul should also be dropped now along with jadeja.

Lekin rule ke hisab se 3rd umpire ko jab tak na koi conclusive evidence na mile tab tak on- field umpire ke decision change nhi kar sakte..technology agar not out hai to ap out kaise de sakte ho??? Deflection bohut karon se ho sakta hai....agar aapko doubt hai tab benefit of doubt should go in favour of batter....so this is wrong decision....but this is part of game....Jaswal was unlucky

The third umpire made the right decision by giving out. There’s no doubt about that; the ball hit the glove.
After all those dubious calls with that third umpire crap, this is a new one. I dont think the system they were stuck with allowed the third umpire to impose his opinion and have such a significant impact on the outcome. He may have been out, but just a strong opinion of the third umpire should not be an option. Either go with the tech, or dont.
Umpires seem to have enough leeway with the slim margin of error, they can swing a close match to one side or another. The third umpire should not be a decider, just a clerk. Its just his opinion, and he should take it home with him. You know what they say about opinions, right?

Sharfuddoula is an honest person. He didn't get many matches in Bangladesh because he didn't join the syndicate. Basically he genuinely felt it was out.
In fact he didn't give out when Aus appealed for Siraj's wicket. If you see his track record you will see he is the finest umpire nowadays.

Guys, the 3rd umpire first took the support of technology like, slow motion and zoom. The evidence was clearly there though you can argue for a million years. Everyone has his own opinion to argue.
As it was a crucial moment of the match the 3rd umpire with with unbias stand took further support of technology; snikometer. It was always great to take a second assessment. As snikometer could not prove the spike that does not mean the first assessment has to be overruled. The 3rd umpire with his wisdom given the call. This not the end of the world. You shohld uphold the spirit of the game. You should respect the wisdom of the 3rd umpire and ICC Elite Pannel's experience.
Mr. Sunil Gavasker can say whatever he wants. He said Pant 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid' in front of the whole cricket world. Then he came up with 'Optical illusion'. Btw, how old is he now?

There are three technologies used in cricket. Hawkeye or ball tracking, snickometer and hotspot. Generally you need either hotspot or snickometer or both to confirm if ball touched the bat or gloves. BCCI does not allow usage of hotspot because it’s an expensive technology for the broadcasters so umpires had only snickometer at their disposal. Since the ball deflected in a way that cannot be seen just as natural swing thru the air, batsman was given out based on this strong evidence. Indian fans should direct their anger at BCCI instead of the umpire for not allowing hotspot in this series.
As a indian cricket fan I accept it jaisawal is out but I can't accept ricky ponting advice wo khud jaisawal ki jagah hota toh pitch pe gaddha khod ke wahi baith jata.
he is a very good umpire & placed himself one of the elites of ICC umpires & this was clearly out.
So when other teams go to play on Indian soil, i always remain very apprehensive that whenever there will be lbw shout or a caught behind appeal by Indian bowlers, they in 80 percent of cases will be upheld and it actually happens. Plenty of foreign players are adjudged out in highly dubious circumstances. And it has been going for years with other countries apparently going without complaining and take those in a mature manner. So probably India is getting their own medicine back.
