This variety did get much better for me in later years and is now on my top 10 list. It needs consistent daily irrigation in high heat to perform its best.

Yes--it's an amazing fig in the right conditions. The tree needs regular daily light watering in summer to ripen properly in our climate otherwise the fruit will dry out and the sugars never properly develop leading to an underwhelming taste.

Thanks for the review. I have been trying to propagate this (cutting) variety here in Long Island, NY. Not having much success although I have many others I have propagated including- I258, Smith, Malta B VS, Nero600 Col D D grise, Bl Madeira, Borjoursotte Gris etc.... Maybe we can do some kind of trade in the future. Glad it is not a very tasty variety. I don’t feel so bad now.😊
