Hi Dave We fell very lucky with the weather over the 24 hrs, not bad at all for the time of year. It definitely makes it. Thanks for commenting. Regards James
What a fabulous sunset and yeah snow to wake up to! Shame you missed the train, just as well the café was open lol. Well done to you both for getting out, not sure about the romantic sharing a tent mind...........cheers Alan
We couldn’t have planned it any better timing wise, I just wish we would pitch up in the light for a change 😏 one day we will crack that and maybe even the train too! Hopefully we can get out a bit more this year, you can’t beat it. All the best Alan Regards James
*_Great little adventure, and if I have enjoyed it..... !!! :))) Super beautiful. Great views of the landscape in the low sun while hiking into the sunset. And what a magnificent sunset _**_4:35_**_, it looks fantastic! Snow the next morning, brrr..... too cold for me to sleep outside..... ;-) Best regards from Germany, Angela_*
Hello Angela. Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve said it before that the hour before sunset makes the scenery stunning it’s literally my favourite time, and the camera picks this out so well. It was cold outside but my sleeping bag is so warm in fact it’s made wild camping into a very comfortable experience these days, I had struggled a bit in the past. We were very lucky with the perfect conditions😃 Regards James
Great to see you both getting out there in spite of the temperature. How frustrating it must've been, to have missed the train first time around. But glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience, James, after initial hesitation over going.
Hi Olly We had a fantastic time and missing trains has become a tradition with us these days. We actually spent a good hour in the cafe speaking with the staff and had a great time, there a really friendly bunch. Thanks for commenting it’s appreciated, all the best. Regards James
Great video mate, really beautiful weather and lighting on the way up, that setting sun looked beautiful 😎 nice time lapses too 👍🏻 plenty of snow to wake up to there 😀 been in that cafe for the exact same reason before as you well know 😂 can’t beat missing a train lol Thanks for sharing, Atb Mark
Cheers Mark and thanks for the positive comments. yep it’s a nice place to miss yet another train that’s for sure! Long time no see, does this mean you have come out of hibernation? Regards James
Nice one James..It really was a cracking couple of days up there, shame it was a bit too windy for you at the summit. The spot where i camped the previous night is a little of the summit further down the ridge & is a bit more out the wind.Good to see you & grandad Keith out again & is always a pleasure to watch you both as i think there is a good chemistry between you both..great lapses & always great to wake up to a fresh dumping of snow & your'e right with the just getting out, always best to dismiss the negative thought's & just get out there & enjoy it for what you make it..tfs mate atb..Andy..ps you don't have much luck with those trains at Edale do you lol..
Hi Andy I’ve camped on the top a few times in the past there’s s single spot just of the summit cairn but not in high winds in my campsite tent! I could do with a tent like yours😉 Really enjoyed doing the photos, it’s something that I have neglected and want to get back in to. The photos came out so well, I will leave it out for a lot longer next time now I am getting the hand of it. Hopefully this year I will get out a lot more, Now that I have streamlined the editing that should definitely help. And those trains ? What can I say ! I am sure he does it on purpose so he can drink more tea, I must admit that one was my fault.😇 I didn’t use a microphone on that because the wind was pretty ok, did you decide to get one in the end ? Cheers Andy thanks for the great comments. Regards James
Wasdale Man-Walking Camping and Exploring Channel..i did get a rode video mic me for the phone so gonna give that a go for the audio bits using ohine & use gopro for rest.ill see how that goes..Andy.
Yes it’s warmed up a bit now 👌we spend a lot of time in those cafes in Edale due to missing train😅 Thanks for the subscription and I will look forward to having a look at your channel. Regards James
A quick pit stop and you were away amid a fabulous sunset. I did wonder about the snow as you made your up and you sure did get a dump. Beautiful fresh start though and journey down. I trust Keith's bespoke thermarest worked a treat. I really liked you using the train but what a shit missing it back. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark I love that time of day with the sunset, and the camera loves it too! I think Keith’s finally accepted that he’s going to have to buy a real thermarest, when he sat on mine it convinced him after all it was a cold night. As for trains, I must admit we really enjoy using them, it makes for a more relaxing trip. We usually change at Sheffield and we found a cracking pub on the platform that we can’t recommend enough. Thanks for watching Mark Regards James

Great to see super Grandad Kieth back again.. Looked bloody cold but the rewards to waking up to that beautiful snow worth it I suspect.. Did you sleep ok together?? Slight medical issues holding me back at the moment but hey ho..
MrQuintonia Hi Great to here from you. Haha yes he slept in my tent the opposite way to me so no cuddling! That will teach him for trying to make a air bed himself! It was cold outside but the combination of a good air bed and sleeping bag soon sorts that out, I always have a comfortable night since I got hold of those. I hope you get sorted out soon health wise. Regards James
Absolutely fantastic! The views/ inversions and sunsets really were special James, where are you two from? Kieth did very well I really felt for him having a punctured matt! must have been a long night. I keep meaning to do a camp up there and I think this vid has finally motivated me, my lad is doing his Duke of Edinburgh around there too. `lovely lapse at night with Orion clearly visible. Pleasure to watch :) Tim and Mandy
