Elin, Thank you so much for these videos! I have been using them as a great visual reference as I rebuild my tr6 transmission. I opted to go with the steel 2nd gear bush and late model gear which requires a main shaft with the locking ball and the thicker spacers. I sent a little love your way as a thank you for what you do!
Elin, another fine video; well done! Do you think you could consider doing a related video? The one I would like to see is a discussion by you about the various ways to diagnose problems with the clutch/transmission/overdrive/differential while they are in the vehicle. Maybe a 'road test' video showing the thought process and physical evidence of a problem along the drive train? This enthusiast amateur mechanic would love to know how you diagnose the problem. Perhaps it is simply a slave cylinder needing to be properly bled, rather than having to dive into the transmission, chasing a 'problem' that isn't there; how would you determine the 'root cause'?
Elin, do you get to alter the final drive ratio (if you want to..) or maybe alter the rear axle diff ratio if you wanted say, a higher final gear for long journeys? 🤔
Elin would it not have been the right thing to measure endfloat with the NEW sincrow rings in place instead of measuring with the old stock. If the Old sincrow rings have thickness wear the endfloat will be affected ???
The synchro rings do not affect the end float. In fact the entire synchro hubs do not affect the gear end float and the overall end float. Only The bushings and the adjustor washers are a part of the equation.

Thank you for that Steve! I got it and I appreciate it!
Thanks for another masterclass in inspecting a gearbox, Elin.

Thanks for doing these videos, very interesting and well presented. Are you going to open up the overdrive as well?. Good luck from Spain!!
I hope I don't need to open the OD. I will test it and if it operates well I will leave it alone.

Well that is what the overdrive does, isn't it?
@@RustyBeauties 👍yes when you have overdrive!

3 videos about the gearbox and not one can of Stella??? WTF are you losing the plot Elin?😃
Watch again :) there is always Stella around :) 9:10
@@RustyBeauties Had to have a look, there is a can lurking on the bench in the background behind the vice, not sure if it's Stella though!!
@@davidberlanny3308 Oh, yeah, it is Stella :)
