Gianna knows she's in a precarious position, and if she were "brought up" in Abby's dance atmosphere, she obviously learned that she needs to be submissive to Abby in order to have any sort of place of importance. If Gianna had said to Abby, "Listen, they really should have technique today," Abby would have flipped out, simply because Abby's nature is to abusively lead, and when Abby feels even slightly threatened, she spares no time in digging into your most tender, desperate insecurities in order to inflict the most amount of pain with the least amount of effort. Abby does this because she has learned that you hit hard the first time, so hard that they cannot get back up. (That's actually paraphrasing Putin, I believe!) Gianna knows better.
