Very kind of you. It’s been a super busy couple of years. I’m starting to dive back into making more videos. It’s great to hear the videos help. What kind of videos are you making?
@@JoshuaTimothy Well it was my nephew who got me into it when he started making TikTok videos. Then I got bit by the bug and started filming historical sites here in San Antonio. Now I want to make it a full time job, doing weddings and major events. All things in time.
@@Beerissmoke12 that’s awesome. Ya it grows quick. I didn’t even know I was interested in video until I was like 27. Here I am today. I’m a videographer for my day job, and I’m slowly building up my own business.
I haven't upgraded my mac's to the m1 or m2 yet. So I've been using my M1 ipad pro. My goodness, it's handling large projects really great (like 36 minute projects). I'm using LumaFusion & being able to do some masking transitions in Luma is great. Thank you so much for this video.
Nice but there is a much easier way if you dont need to rotate. Just use the swipe-from-right-to-left-transition and match the right positions and ur done
I’m really only just starting out, but my passion is nature, landscapes, etc, capturing local area where I live. My plan is to make informative videos for people to refer to before visiting the area which is hugely popular with tourists.
Nice! Curious though: why not just move that clip you are masking as a B roll and edit it with the green screen mask without having to create it in a new project?
Unfortunately this is one extra step when editing on the iPad versus editing on a desktop computer, since nesting clips isn't supported. The workaround is to create a separate project where you edit the two clips. Then you export that clip as a maximum quality mp4, or Apple ProRes to maintain video quality. Then import that exported clip into your final project where you'll add the zoom in effects. Let me know if you have any questions.
I’ve also learned to duplicate the video layer and add some Gaussian blur to blend the mask better. Make sure to experiment with that once you get your mask looking good for a more realistic mask.
Hello Joshua I use premiere pro for video editing. I want to use something portable for video editing while travelling. I am planning to get Air 4. I was checking feature comparison of Premiere pro and Luma fusion. Can i add adjustment layer to add multiple luts on Luma fusion? Please reply :)
The Air 4 is very capable of editing and rendering videos really fast. At this time you cannot add adjustment layers or multiple LUTS. You can however, make color adjustments and apply a single LUT and then save that as a preset. You then have to apply the preset to each clip. To add a second LUT you’d have to export the project, then import the rendered video to apply the second LUT, then export it again.
@@XYZ-qb5gc that’s a close one. Speed wise they are all really close. I think I’d like the size of the screen of the Air better than the mini. I can always edit on my phone if I need a smaller screen. Make sure to get the 256 GB version
Hey thanks! Ya its amazing what we can create with our phones now. My wife has the 13 Pro, and I have the 12 Pro Max. It’s perfect for a multi cam setup.

@@alexv8203 thanks for the support! I have another video where I show how to edit professionally using only an iPad, in that video I did a complex mask of a Ford Bronco driving for a comercial. Here’s the link if you are interested: th-cam.com/video/AXpuXF7tBSM/w-d-xo.html
Whats incredible is it’s only $29 and can do 90% for most peoples projects of what premiere pro or Final Cut Pro can do. This is all without a yearly subscription and has had free updates for years.

Thanks David, I’ll definitely make a video on that.

Do you edit most of your videos on your ipad? I see a Mac behind you too
Yes I edit all my videos on the iPad Pro, my windows computer is too slow to handle most 4K footage.

Is lumafusion for android is like on ipad?

How did you mask the fishing rod 🎣 😂
What happened to his rod in the side view?

For the price they charge, masking should be a basic feature, since it’s very popular among film makers
I wouldn’t be surprised if they add it in the future. They have some awesome new features coming out this year that I’m excited for.
I use PIP n mask tool the most in my videos as I clone myself . I just now bought this app .. and now I feel like I’ve wasted my money 😢

Nice but there is a way easier way to do this, there is another video by RobHk and it’s so simple
I'll have to check that out, as this video is quite old. RobHK does some cool stuff. Thanks for watching
This is just a trick around it. There should be bw a better way tonuse masks without the need of rendering a green screen video.
