Good vid. My platform, the teeth are not grabbing hard barked trees and that is where the popping is coming from on mine. The platform isn’t making the noise itself but it’s the contact with the tree. Softer trees it’s fine but on say an ash or an oak it’s popping a lot. Doesn’t matter what tree or how many times I toe hook it. Have you had any issues with contact noise on the bark when shifting weight? Thanks.
I recently took all the teeth to the wire brush on my grinder to remove the power coat on them. It’s been my experience that any coating or paint on the teeth of any climber or saddle platform will make noise. I also just removed ALL the hardware and lubed EVERYTHING that could possibly move or shift with silicone grease. It’s also my experience that these areas are overlooked and need this before ever being hunted. Now I just need to take it to a tree again and see if this corrected everything. I won’t hunt it if it creeks.
Yeah learning to keep music lower lol sorry. Mines very quiet. Killed twice out of it so far. However, I never take anything in the field hunting in till I first take it apart. Clean all the hardware, lube with silicone grease, and resemble. If mine was creaking, or “settling” it wouldn’t be going into the woods with me.
The platform is way too small. Your feet were hanging off. I hunt all day sometimes and need a bigger platform so I can move around a little. That stand might be ok for a quick hunt, but it's not what I like!
That’s kinda the opposite of what most other guys are saying. On average this is a big saddle platform. Any bigger and your on a hang on or climber platform. Heard a lot of folks say they are gonna wait on the smaller one. Hey man good luck out there! Whatever gets the job done!
PSH strap looks like a PITA
Totally isn’t. It’s really easy to use. I’d definitely rather mess with this then the cam buckle. Plus I think it’s stiffer than the web strap.
@@THEWOODLANDPURSUIT good to know, thanks. Might give it a try.
Looks good man!! Thank you for the shout outs on the PSH! Appreciate ya 👊👊
Yw, absolutely man! Your PSH really is a must have accessory upgrade for this platform! Completely unbiased facts and real talk!
Aaand spent another 30 bucks on this strap looks awesome for my new platform thanks for the info!
Looks like the stock cam buckle strap would be easier to use than that PSH.
Good video. Mine is on its way.
Nah I actually like it tons better. The cam buckle was sooo heavy feeling
@@THEWOODLANDPURSUIT I like wrapping the stick strap around the platform twice and hooking it off on that standoff and cinching it tight.
@@paulcrave3112 ok yeah I’m guessing that would stiffen it up. No need to do that with the psh cause the Amsteel is solid af
@@THEWOODLANDPURSUIT sorry. The Stock strap. For packing it.

@@THEWOODLANDPURSUIT I will try that. I know I’m setting it good, but the wire brush may work. Maybe some rough sand paper. Thanks for the tip.
Cool vid, how is this when it gets wet?
Ty. As far as wet boots it’s been fine. I haven’t hunted in the rain tho with it.
Good video music could be quieter though
Appreciate the feedback
Thanks for the review but that music destroyed it 😩
Music always ruins good videos.
@@randymiller899 lesson learned moving forward
@@daveyboy8907 my bad
Music is aweful 😂
Thank you
Was music required to hide the snap crackle pop sound are by the platform? Mine is still “settling”

How quite is it on the tree? It was hard to tell with all the drug music in the background.
lol drug music! It’s like the og platform just lighter. When used and maintained properly neither make a sound.
In what world is it a good idea to blast any music, let alone this garbage throughout the whole video. Good lord
Next time your in charge of music then lol
Kids don’t smoke crack before you record a TH-cam video 😂
Lmfao! I wish! A crack addiction would be cheaper than this deer hunting addiction!

To each his own I guess. Good luck to you also!
