It is not fun being startled and frightened. The pounding heartbeat and elevated blood pressure, the cascade of stress-inducing hormones, are assaults on an animal's physiology. This sweet cat was at total peace, relaxing and grooming himself, before the prank was pulled on him. I'm not passing judgment on the owners - I'm sure they love their cats - but let's think twice before exploiting our pets for amusement.

Hahaha...reminds me of when my dad brought home some coyote pelts from Wyoming (where he was working) in 2002. Hex, a black cat we had from 1998 until he died in 2014, looked at one of the coyote pelts my dad set on the floor, and when my dad made a loud noise, Hex backed away from it.
This by far was the best scared cat I have E V E R seen. The cat on the sofa saw it first and said: what the HELL !! the raccoon then moved and made noise than the cat said WTF and jumped. God damn it I peed in my shorts. The cat on the bottom sensed that something is going on up there and came to inspect then the other one jumped. Just seeing the reaction of the cat on the bottom when she ran was priceless. That cat said what the F is that run for my life. I had a Swedish basset and he loved to ambush the neighbor's cats and he got them ever time. One of them one time jumped over the edge he grabbed her by the tail and she was swinging in mid air and my dog kept biting her tail and the car was screaming like crazy. great video seriously.
