Turns out the staff had been looking for him for years and with no way to make money, they had to start doing some illegal things. Such as luring rich people and killing them for their fortunes. Etho finds out about this and frees everyone before calling the cops. He escapes but has learnt that his family, whoever they are, was likely very rich and powerful.
