Another fantastic blog! You are really good at this .. well done! You covered so much and in enough detail (with humour) to keep my attention. Loved the changing of bullet trains segment. Thanks for showing the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall, so moving and a reminder to us all. Your blog reminds me of my trip to Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji to the snow line and a ride on the Bullet train about 20 years ago ( it was a day excursion from Tokyo). The Japanese economy is in the doldrums at the moment, and it is good value for anyone fancying a visit from the UK. Am looking forward to your next instalment. Well done!
We did the Riviera Trip some years ago and it was one of the best apart from their Mekong River Cruise. There were 41 people on the tour and the Tour Director didn’t loose a soul. I didn’t realise the Japanese were big beer drinkers - the men that is. It was wonderful to be in such a clean and polite country even the trucks were spotless. Keep up the tours. Good to see you on dry land.
This trip looks awesome. We are looking to do it in 2026 as we have already booked our cruises up until end of 2025! Are the coach legs long and is there a loo for anyone who is caught short !
Those fries did look amazing. I feel the tour is very intensive. Why all the crazy early starts? I had that also on orgqnized coachtours, never understand it.. I am sure this would not be my mode of travelling. Looking forward to more content.
@@SoloonaCruise yes we did a coach tour with Insight Tours , in 2016 to Northern Spain. 8 am to 9am starts because you see so much. It was tiring but it was wonderful. I find river cruises are very busy too as there are no sea days.
@@paulaylett8741 i find in the UK they often have the old fashioned double size beds, meaning 4 ft 6”. Whereas in N. America we mostly at least have queen size , 5ft width.
I found your English guide hard to understand as she did not enunciate very well as her Ssss were too soft. Also in Hiroshima you said you dropped your hand luggage in the lobby. I would not like that as you probably had your cameras and laptops, iPads etc in there. I know the crime rate is low there, but still. Hope all was ok. My hubby went in that Hiroshima museum, I was in too much pain to go ashore there. He said the museum was very moving, as it should be.
Wow, this looks horrendous. I hate the idea of group travel and this reinforces all of my concerns. I watch your cruise vids and I like them. I also like to cruise, but on a cruise you can actually do what you like. This, the enforced early mornings, the not very good looking hotels, the number allocation for seats, the short stops without seeing anything properly, just looks so bad I'd rather not go.

It was very busy but so worth it! 😍
I guess the strawberries must have been grown in hothouses, imported or from the very south of the country. Glad you liked them. Yum.

That is deffo a big room for Japan!!- about twice the size of normal rooms!!- and the towels for the Onsen...are about the size of our FACE flannels!!
Lol heard they were tiny!
@@DeniseHowe-of3xr not in the big high rise hotels. Our room was great and had a king size bed.

What month did you travel and what was the weather like
..
March very mixed weather we had sunny and very wet!
@@alisonfraser958 they said March.
I meant Riviera’s Mekong River cruise was better than the Japan tour
We loved our Mekong River Cruise too!
Japanese are quite small... those are two double beds not two singles!
🤣🤣

Certainly not for everyone but it is a great way to see so much and being in a group was great fun!
