5 years later and still gotta speak on this. 1. Yes the backing track went out, but that track has the original STEMS to the song and the band adds to it (as we heard) 2. Yes drunk in love is a “rest” song for her live. 90% of it is a track but it’s placed there so she does t have to go all out and rest her vocals. 3. The entire system went down. If you watch even the lights were weird, and had to be manually sync. 4. Her recovery was A1 because she is a real artist that doesn’t need auto tune. You can tell before it went out that she was told in her in ear monitors (IEM) that it was going out. (IMO she raised her left hand to signal maybe her approval or the band to take over not really sure, I don’t know her hand sings on stage) 5. THIS IS A NORMAL ON A LIVE SHOW. Name an artist and they have had this issues no matter how good or bad they are at singing. Please enjoy the performance and the artist. One day we won’t have them anymore and we need to enjoy them while we can. **edit 6 years almost.
I doubt of it is playback, if you listen carefully there happens more in the audio. I think a computer had crash, thats why you here that creepy sound and hearing B repeating that line. We all now B uses a echo to sound more powerfull and thats the thing that your here. And we all know how B act as she got caught playbacking.
The playback went out early along with the audio which is why we hear the mic switch. she was definitely lipsyncing the entire first and second verse like she did on the misses carter tour. she just pre-recorded updated vocals. notice how her mic rarely leaves her mouth. beyonce doesn’t use an echo enhance the power in her vocals. her vocals are already extremely powerful and strong. the echo is for pure performance effects to add to the experience while showcasing certain notes.
