    I think the design idea is sound. As you said there is room for improvement in the execution, but I wouldn't give up on it.

    Enjoying the channel. I just subbed. I need to try making one of these friction sheaths. You do a great job. I watched a few of the other videos. Good luck with the channel. I think it'll do well. Almost to 1000 subs. :)

    Very cool!!! I made a very similar one for a tri-blade Buck that I have. Mine is similar in design but nowhere near your quality!! I’m loving the 110 slide sheath!!!❤

    I had a sheath made for my 6" Calipers put its a little too tight. Is there any tricks to make it a little more loose?

      It might depend on how it was finished. Sometimes you can put it in a ziplock bag with a spritz of water overnight and it might loosen up. Probably repeated use is the best way.

    I'm all kinds of down for a right-side horizontal 110 traditional leather belt loop sheath. What do you anticipate the price will be?

    Do you ever have any trouble with the knife falling out in the horizontal design?

      Never have yet. The wax dipping helps the leather hold it’s shape very very well.

    Build your product to your customer by making it easy to operate as you can. What if the knife slides in easier that's a plus and I would incorporate that with a small thin flap.

    love your scout sheaths but I'd be terrified my blade would just fall out onto the ground someday.

      Hasn’t happened to me yet 😊

      @@wyomingwrightwell it definitely won't happen to me! I don't like snaps on sheaths, I feel they are a nuisance, but I made a sheath with a bit of a canter. Still scout but just tilted slightly

    I like it . Would be good for a 110 or 112 . Flip it over to blade down and pivot end in the sheath . And bury it a little deeper in the sheath . But .. I like it . Good design.

    • @wyomingwright
      @wyomingwright  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Chad. I’ve made many 110 sheaths in similar fashion but never for such a small knife. I’m curious to know why you would prefer blade down and pivot end in?

    • @chadwilson1707
      @chadwilson1707 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wyomingwright I would wear this cross draw style .. on my right side .. so I would want the blade down and pivot in so when I grab it out the handle is already oriented the proper way in my hand all I gotta do is open it up. No hand switching around . It's already in position

      @chadwilson1707 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wyomingwright but for this little slip joint it really doesn't matter that much . I do like the design . It would fit snug in line on the belt .. almost melting out of the way

    Awesome stuff. With what You mixed wax? Sorry but i dont understand. I wish to make a mixed "cream" for leather treatment

    • @wyomingwright
      @wyomingwright  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tallow. Which is purified beef fat. It makes a nice cream with just a little beeswax added.
